We had the most wonderful week. The Riad is steeped in history and tradition, all lovingly kept alive by the owner and his remarkable team. The accommodation was of a very high quality, super comfortable and traditional in every aspect. We took time to book in for a traditional Hammam followed by a massage - very much recommended if you need to de-stress. The food and service was exceptional, we ate from both the Moroccan and French menus. Entertainment was very good, a talented pianist, playing an eclectic mix of music from lots of different styles and periods. The bar, drinks and wine list, again were of an exceptional standard and not expensive. Cocktails were amazing. I highly recommend a stay at this Riad.

This riad is amazing. Gorgeous rooms with an open fire.Great cocktails & good food. The staff are so professional & friendly. Highly recommend the hamman experience. Location is great, just a stroll to the center of marrakesh. The people are incredibly welcoming. We will return

Staying in this property has been the highlight of our trip. We had the most splendid time in this Riad during our stay in Marrakech. Firstly, I dont think pictures do the justice to how incredibly beautiful this place is. The staff is very generous, polite and always ready to offer help. We met the owner and he made us feel home with the best hospitality that you could imagine. We were spoilt with the level of service, food and hospitality. I personally liked their salon service as well. I would highly recommend this property for anyone who wishes to peacefully spend their holidays in a royal setting.

My stay at the riad has been a dreamlike experience. Not only it is a gem in terms of decoration ans style but all the staff working there are absolutely adorable and supportive. They really make you feel at home. I’ve been treated like a princess and I am very thankful for the wonderful experience. You will find everything in the riad to make your stay magical and you are only steps away from all sights and museums in central Marrakech. I have travelled there alone and thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities the riad offers from hammam, massage to the chefs’ delicious and refined dishes. I will be coming back and thank you so much again!

Wow, what a place this is! It doesn’t even have a name outside the door so you have no idea what to expect; Marrakech is such a different world to the UK anyway (car journey from the airport is just a crazy 30 mins!) Pick up from the main road (the medina is like middle earth!) and then a golf trolley down to this oasis in the middle of chaos From the moment you step in, you feel like another world again. Beautiful setting, gorgeous furniture and decoration and the rooms all around a stunning courtyard They put on a pianist every night (and a wonderful opera singer Saturday) so if you want to be asleep at 10pm this isn’t for you-riads are large houses so you hear everything! But we found it perfect The staff are so attentive, the rooms gorgeous (we had the “budget” gazelle room but absolutely loved it) and the journey to the medina and souks a decent 20 min walk-a bit of a maze but we found it so safe even if it doesn’t immediately look like it-the manners, care and attention of the Moroccan people is noticeable everywhere So, do not hesitate to try this amazing riad; we had an evening hot tub under the stars, listened to opera in our beds and had breakfast by the pool all in the middle of the beautiful mayhem that is Marrakech

This was the first place we stayed in Morocco and little did we know, it would be the nicest accommodations, staff, and food we had! The Riad is clean and beautiful, the staff is friendly and attentive to any needs, and our room was decorated beautifully and very comfortable. We had a delicious meal by candlelight the first night w live piano/singer who was wonderful. Breakfast every morning is a nice variety of offerings and very good as well. I will say that you will pay more here for food/drinks - example 'the best' Moroccan wine (Chateau Roslane) is 3x the price we found elsewhere. We absolutely would recommend this Riad - hidden behind a door that you would never imagine it exists behind. It allows you to forget the craziness of the streets of Marrakech that are only minutes away. The staff is a truly the best asset they have!

Exceptional food. A dual menu (Moroccan and French) which is prepared and served precision and elan. Really extraordinary wine list. The restaurant is new, and I expect it will be changing menus regularly. Best Harira I've had in Morocco and a superlative monkfish dish (done as a tagine). A lovely, romantic evening for my wife and me. Extra points for fitting us in for dinner even though they had a 'buy out' - our original destination suffered some earthquake damage and had to cancel our dinner reservation. The riad is lovely as well, and we would stay here should we return to Morocco.

Noir d’Ivoire is a Riad in The Médina in Marrakesh and is owned by Stephen Pitts. We were 15 couples. Stephen arranged for cocktails, a sumptuous full course dinner, belly dancers, fire jugglers and the best singer/pianist ( Frankie) any of us has ever heard. The sound system is over the top. The wine cellar is a sight to behold. Everything including the friendly and efficient service was simply fantastic and the price was more than reasonable. Stephen is the perfect host. We strongly recommend Noir d’Ivoire!
