Premier Inn Manchester Central

We were greeted and checked in by Sarinda, who was really kind, efficient and attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed and took time to really listen. It was very welcomed after a hectic morning of travel, and we were so grateful for her calm and reassuring and professional nature.

2nd time writing this as the reset password page deleted my initial review :( 3pm check in and the queue was out the door and around the corner. None of the kiosks working so everyone waiting to speak to reception so this took a little while to get checked in. The restaurant was also closed due to water issues? All meals were refunded though but no forewarning of this issue and still prompted to add meals prior to our arrival. Parking is ridiculous, nearly 30 pounds for 24hrs you're better parking further out and getting the tram to st peters square which is only a short walk from hotel. In the room you can hear the trams all day and night but didn't bother me I quite like the noise. Coffee machine was intermittent but it wasnt very nice anyway and a Costa next door. There was a planned fire drill during our visits and I appreciate these are required as I work in building management myself but would of been nice to of had prior warning rather than 10 mins before when trying to return to our room. Some poor chaps were walking out half dressed bare feet and all. Luckily we stayed outside and out of the way. Didn't like the pillows, don't recall having this issue before but 1 was not enough and 2 was neck pain central. Check out was simple. Overall wouldn't say it was value for money as our 1 night on a Thursday was nearly 150 pounds likely due to the concert and they boosted prices and our Friday night was only 90 pounds....

Informed on arrival restaurant closed due to an issue. Asked if table bookings could be transferred to nearby Premier inn, no had to walk and do myself). Walked to other premier inn to rebook to find restaurant closed at 5pm. Queued at other reception for 20mins to say they couldn’t book tables, had to go to restaurant. Explained this was closed. Staff member did take me up to find restaurant closed but did help remake bookings. Room noisy. Charged for WiFi despite this supposedly being included in premier rooms. Flat roof outside room that was clearly accessible to people judging by writing on windows. Felt uncomfortable as lone female. Had to have curtains closed at all times. Water pressure in shower non existent. Dust everywhere

When we arrived we had previously requested a ground floor quad room and early check in,but when we arrived we didn’t have a allocated room and were shown 4different rooms one of which was on the 6th floor,one room had mould on the bathroom ceiling and the room was very small and cramped,you had to shimmy down the bed to get out as there was no space between the beds,the reception staff were lovely but the manager wasn’t very friendly or polite,had previously stayed before with no problems but this time was very disappointing in all it took us 3 hours to check in and eventually get in our room.

We had a really relaxing stay before a day of travel, the rooms were very clean and nice cold waters waiting in the fridge upon arrival, Sarinda checked us in swiftly and made us feel more than welcome, thank you for having us, i’m sure we will be back again :)

On arrival we were checked in by Sarinda and she made the process very easy. She was very apologetic for the system being slow but that was beyond her control and we understood. Premier plus rooms were very cost and beds super soft. At check out we were again seen to by Sarinda and she made us feel very welcomed and almost not want to leave. She’s a credit to your team and is an absolute lovely chatty lady.

Overall the staff was good, what to expect with premier inn, comfy beds, few noises but nothing too loud but good location not far to walk to main bar & restaurant area.

Clean facilities, lovely and helpful staff, hotel room has everything that you need for an overnight business trip. Loved the make up mirror. Some improvement feedback would be to have two ironing boards in the ironing room. Literally a stone's throw away from the Convention Centre

Central and handy for a short stay on business or for leisure. What you would expect in a hotel of this type.
