Just 3 km from historic Eretria, 5-star Negroponte Resort is situated next to the sea, in an area of 11, 000 m². It offers a pool, an indoor swimming pool with hydromassage jets and a well-equipped fitness room. All rooms are luxuriously decorated and feature a satellite TV and balcony with mountain or sea views. Minibar and radio are standard. Negroponte Resort provides a basket ball court, a tennis court and a mini football pitch, all of which are floodlit. For children, there is a special pool and play area. For further relaxation, the hotel has a separate TV room. The traditionally Greek restaurant enjoys a sea view veranda. The lobby bar also boasts a spectacular view over the coast, as well as an open fire for the colder months. Perfect resort for anyone who wishes to just get away from all. Fairly isolated with private beach and wonderful pool. Everything was clean and tidy and the food was quite good.
The best thing for me was the service - extra compliments to Ms. Panagiota at the pool bar and Mr. Grigoris at the restaurant for being so friendly and hospitable. Also, the hotel ambience is really beautiful and blends in seamlessly with the local nature. This is not another concrete mega building. Quite tasteful and cosy ambience.
Make sure you drive, otherwise it will be tough to reach the hotel and go around.
One thing that could be done better is to offer activities in the evening for all guests and not cater to specific groups that stay at the hotel only. Movie night under the stars was catered specifically to a French group audience - all in French and no subtitles so everyone else was practically excluded.

The service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive to details, and willing to do all possible to make our stay memorable and comfortable. The food was fresh, presented beautifully with a nice variety, attentive to specific guest needs, and most importantly delicious.

We had an excellent stay at Negroponte. Especially liked a food variety and its quality. Staff is friendly and welcoming, rooms are clean and well equipped. Although, cocktails at the poll bar can be improved, because there was a strong alco taste.

Beautiful hotel with comfortable and cosy rooms, a nice beach and good sport equipments. The staff was amazing! We went as a group of 21, a little loud and with a lot of requests but they made our trip even better by providing excellent service with a solar attitude.

I have never felt so good in any hotel before. Me and my family have bees really takich care if and every request and need was made for us. The crew even prepared my birthday cake and we could celebrate together. Very clean and beautiful place. Absolutely worth visiting. The food was amazing also. We will definitely come back just to be in this hotel again and enjoy it!!

Best Family vacation we could wish for. From Eddie, till the last hotel staff member (especially all pool bar team) we have enjoyed every second. Quite, peaceful, high quality of food. Lovely personal. We will be back for sure next season. Afharesto from Israel.
