Aparthotel Miramare

Ideal location, with parking (however quite expensive). Hotel is somewhat quite modern, decent rooms and clean. Spa is quite small and the pool was freezing. Decent options for breakfast however food was uncovered and there were alot of flies. When asking for extra bananas, the staff were quite rude. These were the only services we used. However due to the location I'd recommend.

Our stay in Makarska was great, the town has plenty going on, in the evening there are lots of restaurants to chose from, catering for all tastes and budgets. There was a live band in the square by the church each night and good buzz around the harbour. If you want to escape the crowds, take a short drive axi to the next resort Tucepi, where life is a lot quieter and more laid back. We had a really nice stay at Hotel Miramare, the room was really spacious. Our’s had a Park View which was really nice, listening to the Cicadas which I always find relaxing. The patio and outdoor pool are really nice although sun loungers were quickly taken up in the morning. Sitting having breakfast or just chilling on the loungers, with the harbour as a backdrop is stunning. The next part needs chronicling, but please note it didn’t overshadow the positives and ruin our stay. Unfortunately the start to our stay didn’t go so smooth, hence the low score. When we arrived, the room had the shutters closed and air conditioning on low. The rooms are simply furnished, which is fine, but it felt dark and musty. When I lay on the bed and looked up there was a dirty sock over the fire alarm, the same in the lounge. I can only presume the last guest smoked in the room. I reported it to reception and the poor receptionist was horrified and they rectified it immediately and apologised. Once we opened the windows to air the room, it changed the a**osphere and feeling, shame they didn’t lift the shutters before we arrived or look up when preparing. It is supposed to be 4 star after all. The next night at about 11:30, a tattooed drunk bloke opened the door with a key card and proceeded to walk in, when I shouted “Hello”, he quickly turned around and left…. This obviously left us a bit shaken. I called reception and they said they knew about it, he’d lost his keycard and gave them the wrong number, you’d think they would cross check the name before issuing a replacement card!!!He could have been anyone. The rest of our stay in the hotel was trouble free. As I say, overall we had a lovely stay and would probably stay again if we returned to Makarska. The location is perfect and having parking under the hotel is a real benefit, also its a very short walk to the beach. So you can pop round for a quick dip if you fancy.

Huge comfortable clean rooms. Fab position. Wonderful staff who are helpful and friendly. Great breakfast. My only criticism would be to cut the music played in the public spaces, it’s not intrusive but a bit annoying! There is underground parking, a small gym, indoor pool and jacuzzi, outdoor pool. The beach is about a 4 minute walk away. I would stay here again with no hesitation.

I have reviewed Miramare before and am very happy to notice that the high standards from previous visits continue to be met. The staff are very professional and courteous both front of house and in accommodation. The breakfast buffet is excellent and is continuously refreshed and well stocked. We had a noise issue around a wedding and my complaint about this was very well handled.

This aparthotel is in a great location overlooking a very pretty harbour. The beach is just a few steps behind the aparthotel. It has great facilities with very spacious rooms with the added benefit of kitchen facilities.

Great location and excellent service.

We loved our stay here and would definitely come back. The hotel is super clean, offers amazing breakfast, restaurant on site with amazing views. Staff is very friendly and do their best to make your stay pleasant. Hotel is 2 min walk to the beach, restaurants and shops are all steps away…overall location is super convenient…. Downside is the parking… hotel has only limited parking available …We tried reserving parking before we arrived but couldnt get hold of anyone so we took our chance but unfortunately parking was not available upon arrival… ended up getting parking space 2 days later after someone canceled ..make sure you reserve/confirm parking before you arrive otherwise you will be disappinted and will need to look for street parking and pay hourly/daily ( 20 kuna per hr)
