Dar and Douce

We stayed here for 11 nights and the experience was fantastic! The apartments are big with a kitchen, lounge, bedroom and bathroom, all a quick walk away from a beautiful beach with beautifully calm water suitable for children to swim. The area is so peaceful. We didn't hire a car so were reliant on public transport which was very easy to use and convenient. There is a bus stop at the end of the road that will take you to the capital Victoria in around half an hour or to the South/West of the island. In about 15 minutes by bus you can get to Anse Royale beach which is beautiful. The owners were so helpful and kind, allowing us both an early check in and a late check out because of our flight - they also gave us a room upgrade and made our holiday extra special, we're so grateful! Everything about this place was wonderful and we would definitely stay again, thank you so much Peter and Indira!

The apartment was very nice. Very large. No view from downstairs apartment. Basic dishes. Sugar, milk and tea provided. Full kitchen. Large bathroom. Iron and ironing board. TV channels in a lot of languages. Sufficient secure parking. Residential neighborhood in the hills. Our problems: It was not communicated to us that we had to arrange an exact time to be at the property to meet the owner for formalities. You have to keep in touch by phone (WhatsApp). You cannot get into the parking area unless someone opens it from the inside. You need a gate opener once you are checked in. The access is extremely steep. Our little manual rental car almost didn’t make it up and in. The living room air conditioner leaked and we had a lot of water on the floor. Since we only stayed for two nights and knew that the owner was busy, we didn’t get it fixed. It gets hot there! You have to keep the curtains closed. We had to leave very early and couldn’t reach the owner. Then you have to have someone keep the gate open and take the keys back to the room and come back to get out. There is no separate door. If you can figure out the logistics, it’s a nice place!

We stayed at Dar en Douce for 2 weeks in July/Aug 2022. The apartment was immaculately clean, with everything needed for a great stay. The air conditioning was extremely welcome, and was in both the bedroom and sitting room. The views over the Indian Ocean from the apartments outside seating area/balcony were stunning with the distant sound of the breaking waves forming a backdrop. We had a fantastic time in the Seychelles, visiting different beaches and restaurants as recommended by our hosts. They were extremely helpful and friendly and on hand to help /advise us. We would highly recommend Dar En Douce to anyone visiting the Seychelles, and we are already planning a return trip.

The property had spectacular views of the ocean from the balcony. The apratment was well maintained and cleaned regularly. The only downside was that I did not have a car and the hill to the property was quite steep but managable. Transport and the beach was within walking distance.

We visited Seychelles from Canada. Loved property at first sight. Indra and Peter the owners were exceptionally accommodating and informative about sights to see and where to shop in Mahe Seychelles. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Everything was excellent from the start to the end of our stay. Peter was an amazing host! Super friendly and helpful in every way and beyond. We will never forget him and his wonderful family. Apartment was very nice and clean with separate aircons both in the bedroom and living room. We were supplied with plenty of clean towels throughout our stay and new bedsheets. Nice and quiet beach in walkable distance from the property as well as a bus stop to take you to the town or Anse Royal beach which takes just a couple minutes to get to by bus and is really beautiful. Small grocery shop just 1 minute walk away. Local people are very friendly and nice to talk to. This place was the best we could ever ask for and if we ever come back to Seychelles we know where to go :-) This really is a piece of heaven on earth. No wonder why people are so happy here.

The mountain view is amazing. The hosts are beautiful and nice people, great communication and the apartment was super clean, cleaned every 2 days with new sheets and towel change. I definitely will recommend you stay here.

It was a beautiful place to stay. Very clean. The hosts are hospitable and friendly. The morning sunrise is the best!
