Motel de la Pente Douce

The reception had to come sweep the room as soon as we got there. The top sheets were dirty and stained. There were dirty towels stuffed above the coat rack. The walls were super thin, we could hear what was going on in the next room. The pool was rundown and not usable. Due to the rain, the roof was leaking in our room. When I went to advise the reception in the morning, there was nobody there. The whole place has not been upkept over the years do not recommend. I fell in the tub as I attempted to take a shower. They did not file a report. They did not have a First aid kit, only gave us 2 bandaids.

Rooms are showing their age re: appearance & facilities. Internet service & TV were problematic during our recent visit, but motel has a reasonable cost as a transitory stopover.

The best thing was hot showers. No ice and no access to fridge. Room with two double beds, no brackets for support stepping into small tub to shower. Tub was stained. Walls were dirty as was bathroom floor around the perimeter of floor. Window Air conditioner framing was dirty. I would have left after being there a half hour after going into room. Husband convinced me to stay. I would not return to this place and would not recommend it to others

Incredibly outdated rooms. Neglected property.

You get what you pay for, the room was clean by motel standards.

Close to highway and downtown Magog. Friendly staff. But property is starting to show its age, with repairs needed in room in which we stayed (eg: holes in bathroom walls, bathroom door doesn't close properly, paint peeling or needed). This might be a result of loss of revenue from Covid, so time will tell. The free breakfast is no longer offered due to Covid, and this is understandable.

Hi i dont like to write negative reviews,but since i feel like i got robbed i have to share.Rented the place for the pool and only the pool,it was closed all cracked in need of major repairs.End of may on second weekend of heatwave you think he might have wanted to get that fixed earlier in season.My bad i shoulda called to see if the pool was open?Ok ill survive i said.Wanted to bbq as advertised on site.Bbq rusted out of service unusable.Put my son in the shower old bar of soap lying around.Coffe maker with no coffee and unwashed properly.This place probably had charm once way back when.Evrything is abandoned and left to rot,from the sidewalk leading to your room,to the fence around the pool everything is old and in bad condition.Other than the bed(i like hard you better too)tv was adequate.But for 100$ plus i rather sleep in my car..shame on owner for not investing in the place,he is trying to milk the most he can before bankurptcy.I warned you do not sleep here unless in dire need of a bed...im sure your better off at a hostel cheers!

A quiet place

The man at the reception is very nice and helpful, the motel is not modern but it contained what I needed and it was quiet, clean. The parking is in front of the room, I didn't have to call to reserve it, the other hotels in Magog are asking to call them to reserve a place which I hate. I'm going to arrive with a car where they want me to leave it! It's obvious that I need a place for the car, why do I have to call them to book the parking?! If I return to Magog, I will book at this Motel, I paid $117.81 for the night. Thank you for the cleanliness. Thank you for the heating which works very well. A. Imane
