Hotel CÖRONA Lourdes

Where do I start! I booked through ***********. My filters were; pet friendly, car parking, en suite, hotels, restaurant, bed and breakfast. The Corona Hotel was one of the first listed but so I booked and paid for 3 nights. After a long drive from Southern Spain we arrived at 8:00 pm expecting the restaurant to be open the man on reception shook his head. He told us our room was on the 5th floor and joked that there wasn't a lift. Luckily there was but it stank of turpentine. When we opened the door to the room we wondered if the *********** photos had been taken in a different hotel! Our room had a threadbare carpet and mould around the bath and shower curtain. There was nowhere to put the shower head and the hose wasn't long enough to reach for me to wash my hair without stooping down. And I'm not tall. The window curtain hung loose at each end, leaving a big gap. The curtain liner was ripped to pieces anyway so that just added to the pattern on the curtain. I went down to reception but there was nobody there. The Sri Lankan family who seemed to run the hotel were very abrupt and the language barrier was a handicap. Our dog definitely wasn't happy with the smell every time we took the lift. I preferred to go down the stairs although the lights weren't working and it was supposed to be a fire escape! The electricity went off in our room on the 2nd evening, right after the South Africa v Ireland rugby match started. I waited for a few minutes to see if it came back on but no. So I went downstairs and spoke with another member of the family who was chatting away on his phone. He phoned someone else and a teenage boy appeared who didn't speak English. They chatted away about the electricity then the boy took a handle from behind the reception desk and beckoned me to follow him. We took the lift and I showed him how our room was dark. He opened a service door and played around with some circuit breakers. Eventually he restored the electricity but we'd missed 90% of the rugby match. Next morning we were leaving and there was an old Sri Lankan lady at reception asking me to pay. I tried to explain that I'd paid with ***********. Eventually someone else arrived and accepted my explanation that I had paid. I definitely won't be back to the Hotel Corona.

Hôtel resté dans son jus depuis les années 1960 /70. Lit très très inconfortable. Très mal insonorisés. Ascenseur trop bruyant et vieux. Si vous voulez dormir passer votre chemin. Besoin d'un bon coup de rafraîchissement

Pessimo, sporco,fatiscente. Dovrebbe essere chiuso. Vergognoso . Spero che quanto prima la municipalità di Lourdes provveda a mandare un ispezione sanitaria. Siamo letteralmente scappati in meno di 24 ore.

Stanze sporche, acqua delle docce dei piani superiori che colavano dal soffitto, un unico ascensore con l'impossibilità di utilizzo delle scale dal 3° piano, tavole del ristorante strette le une alle altre, insomma, in Italia, una bettola del genere sarebbe stata chiusa d'autorità da tempo. Eravamo un gruppo di 23 persone e il giorno dopo siamo scappati di corsa e il proprietario, uno srilankese, ha anche preteso una frazione del giorno dopo, accampando l'obbligo della permanenza di almeno due giorni. Da evitare come la peste!!!
