Hotel la Solitude

Staff was lovely but no information on the notice board about the grotto mass & no trips..no vending machine in the lobby ..room are small for 3 people, housekeeping was very bad , had no extra toilet roll ,had 2 ask for it plus fresh towels..as a 4 star hotel guests shouldn't have to ask for about ..staff should be more knowledgeable on day trips & what's going on in the area ....top marks for camililo for being a pure gentleman..

Pre-booked visit with my elderly mother. Staff are all extremely helpful, friendly and polite. Any additional requests for items for room eg. Sheets,towels, chair with arms to help my mother were dealt with very efficiently. Tea and coffee facilities provided, safe and it was a bonus having a mini fridge in the room 👍 Team that serviced our room were friendly and kept the room in tip top condition. Had lunch in the restaurant several times and Gerald the manager was extremely helpful, as well as the staff, and accommodated my mother who was in a wheelchair. Food excellent 👍 Also, we are in the hotel brasserie and we're looked after very well also. We are looking forward to our next visit. The hotel is in an excellent location to both the sanctuary as well as shops, bars and restaurants. This was our third stay at the Solitude hotel and would definitely recommend it.

While there were only 4 of us we booked the appointment for 6 just for the extra space. There were 2 bedrooms one with a set of bunk beds and a small shelved cupboard each bunk had their own light and electric socket. The other bedroom was quite large it had a king size bed and a big single bed and a small sofa(not for sleeping on) a lot of storage and still plenty of room. The bathroom was big and also held a washing machine(no hairdryer ) The kitchen/living room was excellent there was a fridge freezer microwave hob dish washer all cutlery and crockery needed. The living room area had a sofa (bed) tv and other seating as well as a high table and chairs for dining. Double door leading out to a balcony over the river with a great view. Only downside- hose for shower not connected to the wall so you had to hold it over you to wash. Entry to the bathroom was through the main bedroom so this apartment not suitable for mixed couples but great for families or friends. We also had full use of the hotel swimming pool etc. great staff very helpful. Good WiFi. Very central location. 3 min easy walk to sanctuary’s. Central to shops restaurants etc. bus from airport 3euro stopped just across the bridge from hotel 1 min walk. We booked the early check in as we had a morning flight it was well worth it but the hotel has a baggage area and plenty of seating if you don’t want the cost. Go to Lourdes most years have stayed in both hotels and apartments. Loved the extra space of an apartment and think this will be our go to place going forward no need to look about for others.

Spectacular views , fabulous location a great base for a trip to Lourdes. The room was cute with a lovely balcony looking over the river. The welcome was warm and felt sincere . Lourdes is a very friendly place and this hotel provided the perfect access for anyone with mobility issues.

Food excellent in both restaurant and in bar Reasonable prices. Very well positioned for Grotto - 5 minutes - so easy to pop back to hotel during the day Looking forward to returning to hotel next year Thank you to the hotel team for helping make our visit to Lourdes just the best trip we have ever taken

I visited with 2 family members for a short break. We had an amazing view from our balconies! Perfect location for the centre of Lourdes. Friendly and helpful staff. We will definitely choose this hotel for our next visit. We ate in the bar area on s couple of occasions and enjoyed the huge dish of soup! Thank you to the restaurant and reception staff in particular.

The best location short walk to all major points of interest. Staff are very happy and attentive. We definitely recommend this hotel.

Staff were wonderful knowledgeable about what’s happening around the town and nothing was too much trouble. It’s beside the river we had a room with a balcony and outdoor seating wonderful It’s 3 min walk to st joesphs gate. And the place everything happens just an amazing experience

We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions whilst in Lourdes. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There is a plentiful supply buffet food which is varied. The rooms are kept clean and tidy. The lounge and reception area have recently been renovated.
