Premier Inn London Paddington (Paddington Basin)

Just booked this for ease of where we needed to be in London. Staff were fantastic, rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was fresh and delicious. Restaurant was great for evening meal and not excessively expensive.

Stayed for business and have stayed in many premier inns over the years. Locating the entrance to the hotel took a bit of effort as it's not where you'd expect based on the outside signage. Reception was busy on arrival but was checked in pretty quickly by an attentive receptionist. There was some trouble creating the key card but the receptionist apologised and engaged in conversation. Was allocated a room on the first floor and was worried it would be noisy but had a room overlooking reception. Honestly the quietest hotel room I think I've ever had (though if you were there for longer than one night the lack of natural light might be annoying). Bathroom clean and functional though if booking for one person you only get one towel (easily remediated with a trip down to reception). The hotel is *very* warm throughout. Corridors and lifts especially. Was able to cool the room down by putting the ac at 19 degrees for 30 mins or so but can imagine this might be problematic on a hot day. Overall, you get what you book with a Premier Inn. Room was very expensive for what it is (but that's London overall these days!)

There were 4 of us, it was only prepared for 2 people, we only had 1 towel in the room, the cards for enter sometimes does not work, the breakfast is not good and the staff at breakfast is not very friendly. The shower in the bathroom did not work smoothly - hot cold water. Very friendly staff at check-in, we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel before check-in and after check-out

I stayed in this hotel in December. My son and I travelled from Norway to see a football match. I was not at all satisfied with the hygiene in our room. The coffee table had a previous guest's fake lashes still glued to it and the curtains had stains all over - as had the walls. I could have accepted this had the hotel chain replied to my complaint by e-mail right after our stay. However - after the first initial reply where they asked for more information, which I provided. After that I have asked for a reply twice (in March and in April), but there has been none. I think this is really poor customer service. Also the receptionists were very indifferent in their behaviour all through the stay and not very welcoming.

The rooms are compact but comfy, all the usual premier inn touches, reasonable prices. We were disappointed to find the bar already closed when we returned from dinner at 9.50 on a Sunday evening. There were several tables occupied in the bar, and the staff couldn’t even provide drinks to take to our room. We’ve also found the bar closed very early on other occasions we’ve stayed here.

Stayed here for one night when visiting London in May. Hotel was in a lovely location. Paddington Basin is stunning and very close to the train station. Check in was easy and the room was clean and spacious. Good view of Wembley stadium too. We didn't use the restaurant whilst here. Recommend Mick's fish and chips if you want something cheap to eat locally. Would certainly stop here again 👍👍

Sheets were stained, no phone available in the room and had to go down to the reception to raise the issue. Waited 30minutes, no resolution, had to go down to the reception to complain again, waited another 15minutes for a new sheet to be changed and staff that brought the sheet did not seem interested or cared. Would expect better from Premier Inn

Reception very disorganised at check in. If you book a twin room be warned - 2nd bed was a pull put sofa bed and very uncomfortable (no guaranteed good night sleep!) Breakfast was manic but no excuse for appalling hygiene - when clearing tables staff were seeing if any cutlery "looked clean" and reusing it.. Water temperature in Bath couldn't be altered so was very hot. Normally love Premier Inns but this was very disappointing

This summer I've booked a total of 9 nights at this hotel with my wife and I acting as tour guides for 3 couples on three occasions so we will have had 18 nights experience by the end of the summer. We just finished out first 3 night stay and all four of us were uncomfortably hot in our rooms at night. On the windows there's a sticker (see photo) that says the window can't be opened but that's okay because they're making sure great air is being pumped in. On the third night I couldn't sleep and was literally sweating as a lay in the bed without covering so at 2 am I went to complain at reception. The staff were apologetic (the staff there really are trying their best) and said that it was because the rooms were set for winter conditions. They made an adjus**ent that improved things somewhat but the rooms still weren't anywhere near the 19 degrees Celsius the thermostat indicated they should be. I know this because 19 degrees is very comfortable for sleeping and is where I set my aircon. It was only 15 degrees outside so if I could have opened the window it would have been very comfortable inside. If you can't open the window you need to make darn sure you give your guests good air conditioning! That's not the case here. I hope that this is resolved before our next visits in June and July.
