Premier Inn London Southwark (High St)

Nice room with great location 3 min walk to tube station and borough market

The hotel is located in central area and tower bridge is close by. The rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is friendly and professional.

Great hotel, excellent location. We stayed for London Marathon and it was a perfect location. Hotel is close to Borough Markets with loads of great places to eat, London Bridge Station, the Shard and loads more. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. We had a huge family room, ideal for 2 adults and 2 teens. The Tesco on high street was great for all last minute marathon fuel!

A good modern Premier Inn, perfectly situated for sightseeing on Bankside. Better security measures than most Premier Inns with card codes on the lift and Mandy doors, comfortable new looking rooms, we even had an Nespresso coffee machine. Although on busy Borough high street, the room was quiet with decent windows. Breakfast was good, the area itself a bit on the small side for how busy it gets. It would be 5* if not for the entrance courtyard which seemed to be a hangout for tramps & local Herbert’s partying with their beers from a Tescos local a few metres away until all hours. Not sure if Premier Inn owns that courtyard but the only negative really.

I am slowly becoming tired of Premier Inns, they are grubby, have poor staff, and the fast internet does not work, but I need a hotel south of the river, and PI is available. Greeting ok, by a disinterested girl, checked in, went, and sat in the bar while I finished some work that had to be completed and issued by the morning. The bar has no draft beer, only bottles, I asked for a beer, and the girl who was disinterested in checking me in suddenly came alive. Unlike most PI they allowed me to run a tab up before paying (probably because I was the only one there). The next staff shift came on, and as I was still working, they came over for a chat and were very friendly. The breakfast was a typical PI, quite good and as much as you like, I bumped into one of the staff that was on the night before and she recognised me and said hello. All in all, this is a PI with all its challenges, but this one was better than most - but it is in a grubby part of town.

Standard Premier Inn. Good location. Service very good. Comfortable room. Breakfast poor. I have not had a Premier Inn breakfast for a while. Used to be good but not anymore. Would suggest looking elsewhere in the neighbourhood.

The place was extremly cosy and comfortable, staff was very kind and the place was clean. Perfect for couples or families with kids. I liked the food and the athmosphere there. I would recommend this place and will probably get back with any occasion.

Very expensive and cost more than Premier Inns outside of London, Restaurant far too expensive for what it was and very little choice of food. As usual the bed was very comfortable but a small, bright red light in the smoke alarm kept us awake. Good location though.

The level of noise during the night was shocking. My partner and I were kept awake, I can only assume our room (number 122) was above the kitchen. We heard so many noises from below us and what can only be described as the dropping of tins, pots and pans at 03:45hrs. Upon leaving our room for check out the next morning at approximately 09:50hrs, we found workmen outside our door chatting away, going about their daily work! Lucky we’d had enough and weren’t looking for that long lay in as we didn’t technically need to leave until 12 noon.
