Hotel Guitart Central Park Aqua Resort

I don't know where to start, after reading reviews I genuinely thought ' how bad can it be' And for the 1st 2 days I genuinely thought the reviews were a little over the top. However they are not wrong. We are currently on our last day and I just want to go home and have for 3 days. We paid for a superior room which isn't superior. We have a bathtub unable to use as no plug. Seems petty but we paid for a bath tub 🤷‍♀️ Balcony is a decent size but has an open top on the 3rd floor so when it rained we couldn't even sit out and it was still hot. Rooms are dated but beds are comfortable not that it makes any difference because you can't sleep. The walls are PAPERTHIN and you can hear everything. We are part of what looks like previously an ajoining room. The only thing keeping next door separate is a very thin cardboard lined door. Because of the area there are alot of young people coming here to go clubbing. They have no respect they've woke us up running,screaming, singing at every hour of the night. This seems to always be the case going by other reviews only going to get worse during summer months I'm guessing. The hotel caters to very large groups of people ( 80+) we've seen at least 3 and they use the dining room at the same time we have been turned away a few times as no space. Not that you want to est in the dining room as the food is literally inedible we are not usually fussy but there is literally nothing to eat. The best meal is breakfast which is still slim pickings. We did manage to get what looked like over cooked chicken one night and within a few hours we both had bad tummy's though the night. The food is cold and I don't mean lukewarm I mean cold. Under headlamps but still cold?! It makes no sense. We came all inclusive and have only had 3 meals in a week. It's really below standard for any star. Staff are friendly on the outside bar but often queues are long. Pools are great and alot of sunbeds but still not quite enough for the amount of people here. The hotel has many spaces which are not utilised resulting in all the crowds and slow service. Unsure if this opens later into the season. However it is june now so I thought it would of been by now. I will never ever come back here and I'm speaking to my holiday rep about it who said they are going to do a fast review. Main issues are the the noise and over crowding. Lloret is a nice place and may return but not for a while as it put me right off. If you are thinking of booking this hotel especially as a family I would consider the crowds and waiting times and I wouldn't come all inclusive... If you have already booked and have time to change please do that. You will not enjoy your holiday. If you can't change then try and make the best of a bad situation like we have had to. Other than the hotel we have had a nice time. Good luck x

Stayed 22/29 May24 I had read reviews of this hotel on here prior to arriving. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised. Though the hotel is a little dated, in need of some tlc in places, but my initial thought was nice clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We hadn’t paid a lot for a week, we were B&B ( this was decided after reading reviews again on here about food) We arrived about 11am but weren’t allowed in our room till 3pm. If I had been all inclusive at this point I would have been annoyed as you are not allowed to start your all inclusive offer until you receive your room cards (3pm) We had packed swim wear ready to use the facilities as soon as we arrived. There are 6 pools in total 3 main pools,2 little ones pools and a deep smaller pool. We chose the pool near the water slides and children’s splash area. Great size. This area was only open from 10.30-2.30 as not hight of season. Our girls (9 &11) were happy with the Pool and the water slides which we’re working and not busy at all. We stayed here till our room was ready (3pm) We paid extra to have a “separate room” The layout of these rooms are a little odd though… (room 1111) walk in to short corridor, nice size bathroom on right with good wardrobe space opposite. You walk through in to main bedroom. The separate room is then in front of that through a sliding door where 2 single beds are and then there is another sliding door out to the balcony. Room was generally tidy and clean beds were comfortable. Whilst there was a room “blower” heating and cooler system , it wasn’t that cool the air, and would be interesting to see what it was like in the height of summer, I’d like to add that the system only did the main room and not the room with single beds in, at night the room with the single bed in would get very warm! There was a small fridge in the room which I thought was a bonus, but the room had no kettle, which I thought was disappointing. As we were bed and breakfast, we went out that evening in the resort of Lorett de mar. If you want to eat Burgers, kebabs and pizza for the whole of your holiday then bed and breakfast is for you! If not then trust me, you need to try the food in the hotel! I will explain more later. We had McDonalds that night. Breakfast!! Coffee great! Fruit juice awful! Typical European breakfast Not great bacon and sausages but hey, we are not in the uk! Beans scrambled eggs fried eggs good, fresh melon, cereals, croissant, other pastries,muffins, toast, hams and cheeses etc. There is something for everyone. We have one girl who eats and tries anything and one very fussy, both ate well. On our second day we decided to explore Lorett some more for food places. There are some quite nice places along the sea front that do fish, but the more we looked the more pizza and fast food places we found, oh and there were some steak places. We were a bit worried having read some of the reviews but we found the hotel clean, staff friendly and helpful with rooms cleaned everyday and fresh towels on request. This is very much a European hotel so if you are looking for full English etc everyday this is not the hotel for you, we traveled with an 11 year old and a 16 year old and all found things we liked to eat none of us are veggie so can't really comment on what food is suitable but there is lots of salads and bean based food. The entertainment was only just starting for the season so was a bit hit and miss, there is a kids club but our kids were to old to attend, we did find the evenings a bit boring and at times noisy as this hotel seems to have different groups of people staying whilst there we saw a English school there for a sports event and a couple of large groups of older people none of which interfered with our holiday there. The hotel is located just a short walk from the clubs, bars and beach so is an ideal place to stay if that is why you are going to that area. Overall we thought the hotel and pool areas were good once you worked out what lift went where. Do not think I would go there with young children because of the lack of English food and noise levels in the early evening. Would recommend to anyone who wants a decent base in the area to entertain themselves in the later evenings. Overall enjoyed our stay.

We’ve had the best week here. The staff are all so friendly. The value for the price we paid was amazing. Yes the hotel is a little tired in places and is probably not a 4 star in my opinion but it’s absolutely spotless the beds are comfy and the facilities although not all open for the season yet are all great. My kids absolutely loved the pools and all the options available to them. The staff work hard and it’s obvious they take pride in the place and maintenance are constantly working in the grounds blowing leaves and painting etc. for the price they ask you shouldn’t be fussy it’s value for money and if you really want high end then go and pay high end prices.

There was a festival on the week we went which wasn't told about it took over the whole hotel couldn't use the upstairs pool as it was packed with dancers waterpark shut at 2.30pm we where told to use downstairs pool which then was busy with paying guest as the the upstairs pools where overun by the festival didn't see any entertainment apart from music from a bar partys in the rooms till early hours felt like i was in ibiza with my 7 and 10 year old girls. Im all up for people enjoying themselves but should of been told there would be a festival on in the hotel

Visited back in June 2018 and didn't understand the bad reviews then. Returned May 2024 and still don’t understand the bad reviews?! Rooms were clean, everything you’d need (fridge, hairdryer, shower gel/shampoo etc.), cleaners came daily (even though didn’t really need too), entertainment and water parks open, food was great (real mixture, no one went hungry). Only ‘issue’ the TV didn’t have any English channels that works but had hotel wifi in the room, hotel and pool side so that was fine as an alternative. Hotel pools and local area (shops) didn’t really open till 10/10:30am, again no issue had breakfast and little walk around then came back to the pool. Lots of sun beds available, everyone was friendly. Would 100% recommend, would come again too.

Where do I even start with this hotel , first of all don't book into this hotel before May as there is nothing open for kids no kids clubs no water slides nothing and only one pool was open which is in the shade for the entire day, you have to pay for everything, to park in the hotel carpark it's €20 a day there is a safe in the room but you have to pay for the lock , the balcony door was busted and didn't close properly or lock at all so we complained and they did nothing my husband had to fix it himself so it was safe at tonight and when we were out, we came back to our hotel room on a few occasions to our door wide open ,nothing was ever missing but someone was obviously in there . The hotel staff weren't very helpful at all the restaurant staff were OK the food was OK, the hotel booked in bus loads of secondary school students and they were absolutely feral up all night kicking doors of other people rooms and piling stuff outside your door, we complained of course but again got nowhere. The walls and doors are wafer thin and can hear everything . This couldn't be further from a family hotel if it tried , other guests that we met were having the same problems and judging by the reviews many more have in the past , ( the only reason we book into this hotel was because our original booking closed days before we were due to fly so this was a panic booking) We will never be back to this hotel . It was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in,certainly not a four star hotel , two star maybe .

The last time I visited was 2015, so I was already anticipating a cheap and cheerful "you get what you pay for" hotel. The room was nice, simple, basic and had everything I needed. I wasn't too impressed with the food - don't get me wrong, there was a few choices at every meal, always fresh fruit available, but compared to other places, I've visited, it was just kind of disappointing. I'm not a huge fan of most foreign destinations' ability to do a "full english" - I don't like the sausages or bacon, but that isn't a criticism of this hotel, I have found it the same in most places. The desserts were bland and boring as well. I am not a fussy eater though, so did find something I wanted at every meal. I was surprised at how quiet the pool area was, and there were very few children here despite it still being UK half term. Generally the hotel was quiet except the restaurant which seemed to be constantly busy. There weren't many UK tourists, most seemed to be French. I found other guests at the hotel (and when out and about) to be arrogant and rude with no regard for anyone else. How people can just stand blocking the only doorway to a shop stopping anyone else entering or leaving and being totally oblivious about it is beyond me. The noise at night was tolerable for me, maybe not for those with young children. The walls were paper thin though. The area itself is lovely, the odd pushy man (not discriminating, but it was always a man) outside the shops encouraging you to go in the shop or buy something. I would recommend it here, I would probably hate it in the height of summer now my children are older, but it was a nice place to stay

This actually our first day and I can already time it’s gonna be a nightmare of a hotel. All water park are closed you have to pay for everything. Please don’t book this as your holiday you will regret it. I have never done a review before but I’m doing this to stop anyone from going through what my son and I went through
