All I can say is be aware if you book a self catering cottage to stay in for a wedding, during the ceremony the owners will go through your rooms and take away any drinks you have brought. Really bad. They want you to spend at their bar at over £6 a pint and not spend any time in the cottage you have paid for.

A place that is truly magical for your Wedding Day - come rain or shine! Not only is the venue spectacular, the staff are truly amazing! Attentive, extremely polite and always on! Thank you to Alicia & Paul for making our wedding day so special.

We stayed here with friends, the new building where we ate was nice and had large balcony at the back, we stayed in the self catering cottages do not stay here they were awful musty smell as soon as you walked in and it was dirty , never seen so many cobwebs and spiders in one place, they were hanging from the wooden beams around plug sockets, we didn’t dare close the curtains as they had all webs on the top a cleaner definitely hadn’t cleaned it, it made you feel grubby. We had also put some drinks in the fridge to have while getting ready etc, when we called back before the meal we thought we’d been burgled everything had gone out the fridge when we went to complain the owner said it’s their policy and we get it back at midnight , we were fuming it doesn’t say anywhere about not having alcohol and the fact she had been in and taken it whilst we were out and not told us I think is disgusting and she was quite rude, if your advertising self catering then you can bring what you want surely. I won’t be returning that’s for sure. 😡 The picture is just one of the many many spiders and cobwebs.

Just returned from a family wedding. It was a fantastic day, made all the more special becuase of Alicia and her team. They worked seamlessly to ensure everything worked like clockwork throughout the day. Nothing was too much trouble. The venue is an oasis of calm and the new glass balcony, surrounded by woodland and with the river running below set a magical scene, and, after days of rain the sun shone too. Perfect, thank you x

We stayed in one of the lodges and ate in the restaurant. What a lovely experience. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable and the atmosphere was so chilled. Neil and his son were a highlight with a natural easy manner. The food was so well presented and delicious. We would highly recommend to anyone and looking forward to our next visit
