Sessile Oak, Llanelli by Marston's Inns

Not really situated close by to anything to keep the kids entertained. When we booked in I had booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids but they were adamant I was only booked for 2 adults so hadn't got kids beds ready so we had to wait for bed linen and do the kids beds ourselves once I had proven to them with my online booking through app that they were wrong. The room was small, bed linen had rips and holes in the duvet covers, double bed poorly made, curtain rail was broken so could have fallen off onto the children, there were dirty marks all over the walls and splash marks that looked like coffee or worse up the walls, which my partner has taken pics of. The plus in Bath was broken off the chain so couldn't get it out once used so couldn't use shower ect or change bath water, taps didn't work properly. Very noisy throughout night and could hear everyone walking past room at all hrs. They also had mice traps in all communal areas of the hotel in full view, not even tried to hide the fact they had mice in the place which wasn't very pleasing either. We also have evidence that behind mirrors in the room that there could possible be cameras or surveillance equipment of some kind which is not acceptable and is illegal!!! For the price of the room which was over £80 for the 1 night is totally unacceptable and we will not be staying here again at any point. Sessile Oak. Ideal place to use as a base for house hunting. The staff are always friendly and pleasant. Our second stay and will use again if needed.

Sessile Oak sleep over. Room was ready, clean and tidy. The staff including housekeeping very friendly. Bed was comfortable and is away from road so is nice and quiet.

Over time detariation. Sessile lost its spark. Unfortunately since I last came here it well maintained, professionally run. Clean updated. Now needs a total pain throughout, more happy 😊 staff. Second Night Ruined by Alarm constantly going on this was a disabled ♿ person alarm went on from 2am onwards . Also breakfast add on are not good extra peace of bacon on smashed advicado was not great. Not impressed. Price on breakfast are expensive, variety OK, staff hit and miss. The decor was grubby, tired Accommodation was clean Hot water for room was spot on , plus side tidy and clean rooms, let's get this Hotel back were it was and definitely the tired look needs a repaint both buildings. Issues with maintenance ⛑️ were was the night porter. Prices of breakfast are getting redicolous if you want repeat customers, a loyalty sceam kids free. Look

The staff seemed uninterested in there roll, the room was basic, the restaurant was messy with noisy drinkers in the bar area, there was a screaming, swearing child who seemed to belong to one of the staff. The tables were not cleared, very slow service with food left all over the floor. The tables were sticky, overall a very poor show. We will not be returning.
