Porto Greco Village Beach Hotel

Overall I would not recommend this hotel! The location of the hotel is lovely, it's right next to the town and its not far from a few other towns (Malia, Agios Nicholas, Herekloin) which is easily accessible via bus which we wasn't aware of until 4 days into the holiday! On the first night the AC was leaking so bad we had to turn it off, we complained the following morning and someone looked at it immediately however broke it even more so it didn't work at all. The hotel offered to change rooms however was downgrading the room from a double bed and 2 single beds to a twin room with sofa beds altho these rooms looked more updated than what we had! We was however impressed with how quickly the staff acted on the complaint and in the end we settled for late check out as compensation. The room was very outdated, the doors looked like they was breaking, light was comming In through the wooden slates on the main door! When we arrived the fridge had a massive sticky mark going down the door and this remained the same all holiday! The room does not get cleaned daily! We had to go to reception to ask for toilet roll as the cleaners just didn't come and when they did come the sheets didn't get changed they just made the beds. The floors was never swept, and it didn't appear that the bathroom was cleaned. The food was very repetitive to the point we began to make jokes on guessing what was for each mealtime and we actually guessed correctly most days 🤣 I'm not a fussy eater so always found something to eat but most of the time it was either cold or you had to wait for them to put more out! When I used the syrup for my ice cream there was ants in the syrup! The day after the same thing happened so I complained. They did change all the syrups that evening after but it wasn't long before the become sticky and horrible too. There's hardly any sunbeds available around the pools and tbh it's very unlikely you will get one which catches the sun as most of the sunbeds are in the shade. When we booked this holiday it said there was entertainment, a rooftop pool, hot tubs etc however none of this was the case. The hot tubs was empty, the roof top bar and pool was closed and there was no entertainment. We strongly belive we was mis sold this holiday and it was falsely advertised! It advertised a private beach, there is a tiny stretch of beach opposite the hotel however you have to pay for sunbeds. You get a free 15 minute message which is lovely! You also get 1 meal at the Al la carte restaurant but the options there is very slim I think you can choose from 5 options. Food was OK but no better quality than the main restaurant. The staff was nice and saved this review from being completely terrible! They are all a credit to the hotel!

Nice Hotel will come again only because of barmen Kostas and Kleo maje the atmosphere. Bar was the the place where everyone meet each other and find new people. Drinks was nice and always in time . Food was varied and tasty. Room cleaning is daily.

Second time here! This is an amazing hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms, with exceptionally very friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was too much of an issue for them. There are some excellent restaurants next to the hotel and hotel is directly on the beach. All decor very tasteful. Bedroom was a good size and layout. Well positioned and easy distance to walk to main sights and restaurants/bars. Scorpio, White rabbit and street food are also included in the all inclusive program.Would highly recommend.

My friend and I went to Porto Greco village beach hotel to unwind from the day to day life and the staff made sure it happened. I have never felt so welcomed at a hotel as I did here. I want to specially thank the best bartender named Haris, for making amazing drinks. He is a happy and chill bartender who makes sure that you have a wonderful time. If you are looking for a drink that tastes amazing ask for him. The other bartenders are alright, but he puts a twist on the drinks leaving you wanting another. Further, we have Karyna we is an excellent receptionist who is very friendly and helpful. Whenever we had a problem she would fix it right away. The rest of the staff is also very welcoming and helpful, and do their best to ensure that you have a wonderful time. The beach bar called Scorpion is alright again the staff was amazing, and its easy to get some vacation friends there. The food is alright. It the standard you can expect from a buffet. Some days there was something tasted amazing and some times its was just alright, but there was always something that we could eat. The beaches are lacking a little bit though. if you like sandy beaches this is for you but if you like to snorkel then there is not much to look at. They do have many fabricated underwater structures to try and make the underwater life grow but it is not quite there yet. Also it seemed a bit strange that we had to pay to use the chairs by the sea. The hotel is just the right distance away from the night life, far enough that you don't get disturbed by it and close enough that you can walk there in 15 minutes. I really liked the variation in club and bars. There is the big one called Palma if you want the big club vibe, but if you prefer somewhere where you can talk just keep walking and you will hit the bars where the music is not to loud and where you can meet other people. There is something for everyone here and I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to unwind.

Lovely quiet area. Whilst minimalistic in places- the simplicity was just what we needed. Great comfy beds on the pool side. Really great staff who went endlessly to help us when we got in a pickle with a parking fine. The room was clean- shower could have done with some omph but it did the job. We had a fridge and great air con. Bed was large and comfy!

We have been here for 9 days out of 10 and overall my wife and I have had a lovely relaxing holiday. Initially our room was rather close to a loud bar outside the complex which kept us awake however after speaking to the reception staff they were very helpful in moving us to a quieter room. The variety of food was good although my wife’s diet would have preferred less cream on the desserts. Ha Ha. Location of the hotel is great and well within walking distance of local restaurants and bars. All the staff have been friendly and very polite. Would happily return one day

The staff and the hotel itself impressed extremely. The dishes were incredible fresh, juicy and tasty. The all staff were helpful, kind and friendly. The bars serve amazing cocktails. Rooms are cleaned daily. The shopping street is close to the hotel and you don’t need to go far away to buy souvenirs.

We had to switch room because it wasn’t like the pictures. The rooms in general needs more attention and the cleaning staff dont really “clean” the room, they more only tidy it up. Besides that the service manager and staff in general are very very friendly and they do their best to fulfill your needs and wishes. The food is okay there’s something for everyone. And funny bartenders! Very nice view close to the beach and watch out for mosquitoes, buy good quality repellent

The hotel looked beautiful and the staff was friendly. We were pleased with the variety of food in the buffet. We loved the tzatziki and the cheeses. The drinks were also nice. Our room was kept clean everyday and had a pretty view. The only bad thing was the WiFi which didn’t exist in our room.
