This hotel is right in the centre of Askrigg. Private parking is available. The hotel has recently been taken over. The rooms were freshly decorated. The breakfast and evening meals were delicious. My main praise is for John when he rescued us after a hotel in Hawes let us down. So helpful. I would thoroughly recommend Middle House.

A traditional hotel with a contemporary feel, the 'Middle House' in a beautiful village. The restaurant and bar are both really great spaces to meet with friends and enjoy a night of superb food and enjoy an excellent variety of branded beverages. Service was excellent all night. My favourite seat is by the fire, so be sure to not sit there. The hotel room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The traditional breakfast and coffee was top quality. I am already trying to arrange a return date to enjoy it all again.

Regular visitor to askrigg, I was last in this pub just before xmas and I cannot believe the transformation since then. The bar area especially looks class. We were nearby and called in to suprise my parents who were staying for afew nights. The new landlord and staff are all really welcoming and incredibly polite. We stayed for afew drinks but as my parents dont have tripadvisor feel it a disservice to not mention their comments and share their pictures. They both said the breakfast was quite possibly the best they've ever had whilt staying away and their evening meal was just as impressive - "tasty,well presented,lovely and hot in temperature and really polite girl serving us. Everyone was so polite" Askrigg is an amazing little village with 3 pubs and slightly overlooked by its busy neighbour hawes but that's why we like it. Less crowds. Lots of great walks from here especially up to the waterfall and a great bus service by the little white bus company to the surrounding villages inc hawes and back. Wishing the new owners all the success they will clearly achieve!

Lovely Wensleydale experience. We didn't stay here but have had some of the best food ever. Absolutely amazing quality and delicious. The staff are lovely and to top it off for me (being a county player) there is a pool table! Garden is lovely as well :)

A Birthday treat, good cooking, with fair pricing and prompt and courteous service. A short and straightforward menu that delivers value for money. Fast and prompt service throughout our meal, the wine offering in particular is fair and well balanced. We shall return 👍

I called in today for lunch and had a warm welcome straight away. I was just in time to order lunch - was spoiled for choice there was a great selection of locally sourced produce to choose from. I went for the burger and it was so good, thick and juicy with the best home made chips and a dipping sauce! Teamed it with a pint of Falcon from the Wensleydale Brewery - a match made in heaven. I’m so happy I called in. I’ve been to lots of places to eat around the area but this combined with quality, value for money and hospitality is a winner!!!

2 night stay with dog. Owner was fantastic throughout, great service. Room was clean and comfortable with space for dog to sleep. Food and drinks excellent, even catering well for gluten free. Breakfast also very good. Great base for walks and waterfalls. We will be back.

I have eaten in the Middle House in Askrigg twice this week, once in the evening and today for Sunday roast on Easter Day. I am blown away by the quality and presentation of the food and the friendly service. I live in the Windsor area and eat out regularly. This was all absolutely outstanding. Excellent vegetarian options. Would definitely recommend and I will certainly be back as my mum lives in the village.
