Palazzo Marini B&B di Charme

Thought it was in a great location. The historic center is so neat, especially at night. Breakfast was yummy for sure. Too bad it wasn't on the top of the bulding, as that is a big reason I booked this place. The bathroom windonw did not close. It was HOT, even w/ the a/c trying to work. Room was smaller than I thought it was going to be but very clean, modern. The bathroom was great. Little bugs/mosquitos came in through the open windonw. Otherwise good place. They did set up a food reservation and car in the morning for us. Stayed 2 nights.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in Lecce in the Suite Barocca. The location is excellent, in an old building but with modern conveniences. It was definitely worth the slight additional cost for the Suite Barocca that included a separate room with a sofa. The included breakfast was outstanding. We did not get to use or see the terrace because it was still winter. Lecce is a beautiful city and we happy to relax and spend a few nights there.

We had the pleasure of spending four nights at Palazzo Marini! A warm thanks to the entire staff who made our stay so pleasurable! Ilaria was there to welcome us and was available throughout our stay to provide whatever assistance we needed. Thank you! We stayed in the Suite Barocca - a spacious, clean, modern suite of two rooms with sliding pocket doors to create privacy if needed. Each space in the suite had its’ own balcony. The comfortable bed and linens, along with ample draperies afforded a wonderful night’s sleep. Set on a quiet, small piazza in a limited traffic zone in the Centro Storico, the rooms were very quiet both day and night. The breakfast served on the spectacular rooftop deck was the best we had on our twelve day trip through Puglia. Sweet and savory options of meats, cheeses, cornetti, cappuccino and espresso as well as juices were a delight each morning made even more enjoyable by Emanuela, our hostess. She was a joy to greet each morning! Don’t miss having a pasticciotto made fresh in-house daily - the best in Lecce and I tried many! The picture gallery provided on the website is a true representation of the accommodations. In fact, I think it was even prettier in person! Lecce is a vibrant, lively, magical city and Palazzo Marini’s location was perfect for exploring. The Doumo is an easy and pleasurable five minute walk along quaint lanes. We also explored Taranto and Gallipoli, walking just ten minutes to the train station. Palazzo Marini makes visiting Lecce and the surrounding towns easily accessible even for travelers without cars. I highly recommend staying at Palazzo Marini and visiting Lecce! Can’t wait to return!

Nice place with friendly people. Good breakfast. The terrace is very nice. Good rooms with easy access. Take care about parking. Many controls and fines. Airco is maybe a little beat noisy in the rooms but acceptable.

Fantastic B&B in a wonderful location. The rooms are well-equipped, beautifully designed and very comfortable. The small piazza is peaceful and very conveniently located. We parked on the street just outside the ZTL (limited traffic zone) on Via Manifattura Tabacchi just beyond the Porta Rudiae. Using the EasyPark app, it's super convenient as you can pay with your phone and extend the time if you need to. It's a five -minute walk to the B&B. The rooftop terrace is wonderful, and our only suggestion for improvements were that a few of the breakfast items were pretty awful (croissants, coffee). Most everything else was enjoyable and if they/you can stick to those, keep your expectations low, or supplement by going elsewhere if you want a baked good or some more coffee, it will be a great stay! We were very sad to leave after four days. It's very easy to use Lecce as a base to explore all of Salento, and so we encourage you to stay here and enjoy!

Echo all that has been said about Emanuela and the charm of this lovely B&B. Our room was large, extremely clean, cool, quiet and well equipped. Breakfast on the roof top was spectacular. We stayed for six nights and used this as a very convenient base to explore Lecce and Southern Puglia. By the end of our stay I was genuinely sad to say good bye to Emanuela who was so friendly and helpful. Parking note: we used Parking Ex Gill in Via Adua, 16 as recommended by the B&B. This is on the right immediately after a private University car park and has a very small sign. Pay in advance for the days you need and you can come and go as you wish. 800m from Palazzo Marini (turn right when you leave car park)
