They did not attempt to call us or email any of us to let us know they needed this information before cancellation. "The room was spotlessly clean and incredibly well appointed with large bathroom with jacuzzi bath and rain shower and really romantically lit. Coffee machine was welcome and the room felt fully luxurious with electronic blinds. Light and airy in the day and cozy at night. There is also a sofa bed which is useful should your partner be a snorer (like me haha). The main selling point of this hotel, however, is Aldo the host. On a par with the best communication I have had prior to and during a stay. Answers queries within minutes and always on hand to offer help and suggestions. It is a smaller place than I thought and we had the place to ourselves in early October, which felt very special. Parking is easy in a nearby guarded car park as Lecce old town is pedestrianised. It was €22.50 for 3 days and you can come and go as you please, to enjoy the coast also. Around 30 to 40 mins drive in each direction. Though you will definitely want to explore Lecce, which is a charming place with lots of hidden streets and great architecture. Breakfast was lovely and served on the roof terrace. Plenty of choice and always served with a smile. I didn't request this, but Aldo knew it was my partner's birthday on leaving day and brought some bubbly with the breakfast. Touches like that make this 5 star treatment, and great value too! Just book. You won't be disappointed."

"The room itself was fine - large and reasonably equipped and clean. Location is convenient. Shared facilities like the kitchen were great. The big downgrade is for communication - staffed hours are erratic and when I tried many times to contact the property in advance of our stay through whatsapp, facebook and the booking site, my questions were never really answered - what are the "checkin" procedures and, what is the wifi info in case we needed to contact someone once we arrived and no one was there. Because we were traveling there in the morning, I figured we would have at least 12 hours to sort out if we were going to have to sleep in the car that night. After we found a parking spot, it was just by chance that someone was opening the door so we could confirm that we had a reservation and that we could check in a couple of hours later. We booked about half our stays in hotels and the other half in unhosted properties, and all of the unhosted properties as well as the other hotels were very responsive to my questions. For whatever reason, this hostel didn't seem to want to communicate. I hope they treat their hostel guests better or maybe the guests don't care as much as I do. Simple communication was seriously lacking"

About a kilometer from the central train station. No 24-hour front desk but staff responds quickly to questions and is very helpful and accommodating. Best to contact by SMS text, WhatsApp, or phone because their email sends many messages to the spam folder."

"The apartment has potential and a few positives—the balcony is the highlight and the location is excellent, just a short walk from Lecce’s old town. There’s also a charming bar below with a speakeasy vibe and great music, which we enjoyed as our only form of entertainment during the stay. However, this rental has some serious issues that made our stay uncomfortable. The biggest problem was the beds. A traveler needs a comfortable mattress to rest after long days, and these were terrible—thin, springy, and somewhat gross. The couch is no better: old, worn out, and so uncomfortable you could feel the springs through the sheet covering it. The kitchen had a strong musty odor and needs a full renovation. Lighting throughout the apartment is poor, especially in the bathroom where it’s very dim. One pillow didn’t have a pillowcase, and overall, the quality of the bedding was questionable. While the apartment was generally clean, the atmosphere was gloomy, and no one greeted us or provided instructions upon arrival. There were some informational materials, but none in English. A smart TV would have gone a long way in making downtime more enjoyable. Also, the configuration of the beds felt awkward and carrying luggage up the narrow spiral staircase to the loft was quite difficult—some kind of pulley system would really help. The listing photos are accurate in terms of what you see, but they can’t show you how uncomfortable the furniture is, how the kitchen smells, or how dark the lighting is. With some minimal but smart changes—especially replacing the mattresses, improving the configuration, upgrading the lighting, adding a smart TV, and deep cleaning or remodeling the kitchen—this place could be vastly improved and even become a desirable rental. As it is, it’s not restful or comfortable, which is a shame given its potential."

"We booked a 3 night stay in February 2025 for a stay in June and sent the refundable deposit of €259.20 . The cancellation policy states we can cancel up to 8 days before our arrival date. Unfortunately our travel plans changed so we sent an email in March advising that we need to cancel. They acknowledged receipt and said they would send us the refund. The next email they indicated that the refund was sent and that we should check with our bank. Our bank did extensive research and investigating but could find nothing. We sent many follow-up emails asking for status of the refund but the hotel has been non responsive. It is now July and we are still out the money. This converts to about 410$ Canadian dollars. We feel very cheated. We feel this hotel is very dishonest."

We stayed in a loud, dirty, shower, which was compassionate, dirty and myrky in the bathroom.The pictures of that tug that she had been lying to us do not appear at all, nowhere. No shower tape, a wet-shaking smell, so much that old and strawed bed hand towels and our clothes were almost wet; a vomiting stick out of the washing room without a cap; a broken coffee machine. Breakfast served in the indoor courtyard, very different from the pictures, all sweet, dirty, red and colourless gadget, anybody knows when the pictures are. Fresh bars and cucumbers, we tried to drink a juice and was rough, the coffee could only be done in the room, but we could not see the device throwing only cold water, while putting the soda. I am sure that no one would sleep in that stupid thing, but unfortunately the smart owner, who did not even get himself to our arrival and did not answer the phone, was paid in advance, otherwise we would have gone away immediately. Parking is on the street and you need to be lucky. Far from the center. A experience to never repeat. Smuts everywhere, I don't know how to have good reviews, I think it's absurd. NOT WERE 👎👎👎 VERGOGNA!"

On the day I drove to the hotel, I was catching up with the temporary road construction on the local road. The navigation could not guide the feasible road. It was the hotel staff who helped drive to the hotel. It was great! The parking fee is 25 euros/day, and it is necessary to make an appointment in advance and be confirmed. Note that there are strict administrative regulations for driving in the old city. Breakfast is great! It is the kind of order + buffet."
