Ccm2024As people who travel regularly, we place a lot of emphasis on other reviews when booking. I was rather concerned reading previous reviews of this property, but having stayed at multiple other Ritz Carlton’s (Singapore, Koh Samui, Dalllas, Melbourne etc) we hoped the brand would live up to expectations and great experiences at other properties. IT DID NOT!
Strongly suggest avoiding this property at all costs. Look at the low ranked reviews, they all make sense to me after staying.
This property has us questioning if we would ever stay with this brand again. Amazing isn’t it, how one property can tarnish a brands reputation.
We have been overcharged after checkout after settling the bill when leaving (unresolved at this point but will get to that later).
The first room we checked into had air conditioning so loud you could not hear the TV. It was also dirty with marks and dust/grime on every surface and excess dog hair on the floor. I went to the front desk and the best they could do was “send someone up to check the A/C. The property was practically empty. This was not good enough!
I was fortunate enough to speak with the GM who remedied the room situation immediately. We then dealt with Daniel (who was on loan from Santa Barbara Ritz Carlton) he was a great reflection on the brand. He upgraded us, which was appreciated but not expected, just a room with a reasonable a/c would have been fine.
Rooms are very average, worn and not clean. Linen was stained, towels so old some had tears and holes in them.
The majority of the staff seemed like they would rather be anywhere else than at the Ritz Carlton South, can’t say I blame them but really let the place down.
When dining they would bring the bill before we had finished dining over and over, at times even advising their break was about to start so needed to provide bill, how about you get another staff member to do this…
Upon checkout I paid with an alternate card than I used for the security deposit (to avoid international transaction fees). I settled the bill of approx $450usd and away we went.
A few days later, a charge of $390usd (approx) appears on my original card used for security deposit (along with an international transaction fee). This charge is absolute rubbish and was not warranted, everything was settled and paid on check out.
I rang and rang and rang all day to the hotel and the phone was never answered. Finally I had to call and international call centre where the wind noise in the background was so loud I could hardly hear. I was then told the extra was for bar charges (not ours!) we had one whisky and a coke at the bar which was on my bill at checkout. I was then told they would try to contact hotel and hopefully in up to 2 weeks they would respond to the call centre, and sometime after to me. This from Ritz Carlton? Disgraceful.
We then got lucky and got the US call centre. This was much more helpful and the agent advised the hotel would call back the same day. Still no call back from Hotel, no explanation of why my card was charged… no invoice, no receipts.
Now I need to go through the process of disputing the transaction with my bank. Really?
The old saying one bad apple spoils the cart, couldn’t be more true of the Ritz Carlton South Beach. There were many other disappointing things that happened during the stay that isn’t even worth going into. Such an epic disappointment from this brand.
I am hoping this property reaches out as promised but it holding my breath.
Do better Ritz Carlton South Beach!
Not wanting to end on such a sour note. Daniel (from RC Santa Barbara) was a standout for guest service as was Noela at the Valet, both embody what guest expect from RC.

Yyuna82プライベートビーチも利用しました！プールもビーチも17時にはサービス終了なのでご注意を。部屋にレフィル可能なボトルが置いてあり、館内の至る所で給水できたのがとても良かった！ペットボトルよりエコなので。広々したジュニアスイートにアップグレードして大正解！家族4人で広く使えました。バスルームも広くて、シャワー別で椅子もありました。アメニティも香りが良くて◎
空港からもアクセス良くUberで3,500円程で15分位で到着しました！
お部屋からは隣のタワーマンションとビーチが見えました。

AAndreKhách sạn tuy khá mới với tiện nghi hiện đại nhưng lạc hậu, đặc biệt là đồ đạc trên tầng thượng.
Phòng khá nhỏ, cửa sổ bẩn và ở tầng 4 nửa sổ trẻ học sinh tập nhạc, telco ở hành lang, sập cửa lúc 4h sáng.
Phòng tập thể dục và hồ bơi quá nhỏ.
Serena Rest/bar khá ổn.
Nhân viên là hàng đầu.

TTài khoản kháchThe lobby is freezing cold. The staffs are friendly. The check-in wait time was about 20 minutes because there was only one front desk staff and the group before us spent too much time.
The room is decent and clean. Love the balcony and direct access to the beach. The pool is kinda small, but they have two pools.

Snídaně formou bufetu, kdy nabídka by asi mohla být rozmanitější, ale celkově nadprůměr, když to srovnám s jinými hotely na východním pobřeží. Co bych určitě ještě vypíchnul je to, že poslední noc přestala jít v celém hotelu klimatizace, tak nám dali slevu na dvě noci, takže hezký přístup!

MmileendTôi thực sự không biết tại sao xếp hạng lại cao như vậy. Ngoài vị trí tốt, nó chỉ là một nhà trọ dành cho giới trẻ trung bình. Giường tương đối rộng và mang lại sự riêng tư tốt. Đèn ngủ rất thân thiện với người dùng và có rèm che. Mọi tiện nghi đều có sẵn nhưng không mới lắm, cảm giác bừa bộn còn tệ hơn nhiều so với những ký túc xá dành cho thanh niên tôi từng ở ở Thụy Sĩ trước đây. Một mảnh giấy rơi vào phòng tắm, tôi vô tình lau nó và thấy nó đầy bụi. Không biết sàn nhà ở đó có được lau sạch không, có trời mới biết. May mắn thay, tôi mang theo khăn trải giường và khăn tắm dùng một lần nên không thành vấn đề. Máy điều hòa rất to vào ban đêm, chắc chắn không phù hợp với những người khó ngủ. Nhưng vị trí thực sự tốt. Không xa để đi đâu. Có rất nhiều đồ ăn và đồ uống ở n*** gần đó, và cũng có thể đặt các chuyến tham quan trong ngày. Thành thật mà nói, nếu bạn có thể hiểu được tiếng Anh thì đừng đặt tour du lịch Trung Quốc. Bạn sẽ không biết nếu không tự mình kiểm tra, và nó rất tốn kém và bạn sẽ không được đón tận cửa.

I recently stayed at Boulan South Beach and overall had a great experience, with a few minor drawbacks.
Positives:
The location is fantastic—just one block from the beach and in a very walkable area surrounded by great restaurants and bars. The hotel itself offers solid amenities, including a small but relaxing rooftop pool with a bar. One of the highlights of my stay was dining at Orange Blossom, the on-site restaurant. The food was excellent, and I’d highly recommend checking it out even if you’re not staying at the hotel.
The rooms are well-appointed, apartment-style suites that feel spacious and thoughtfully designed. I also appreciated how quiet the rooms were—perfect for getting a good night’s sleep after a day out.
Negatives:
That said, I was disappointed by the bed. The listing advertised a pillow-top mattress, but the bed was far from comfortable and fell short of our expectations. Also, for a room that otherwise felt luxurious, the lack of bathrobes was a small detail that would’ve really rounded out a luxurious experience.
Additionally, while the room was clean, some of the design choices were lovely but weren’t the most practical for a hotel setting. The cloth-upholstered bed frame, while stylish, showed some staining—fabric furniture can be hard to keep looking fresh in a high-turnover “fun” environment. Similarly, the jute rug added visual texture but proves to be difficult to clean and showed signs of wear.
Final Thoughts:
Boulan South Beach is a solid choice if you’re looking for a stylish, well-located hotel in South Beach with great amenities and a quieter, more refined atmosphere. Just be aware of a few comfort and design trade-offs. It really is too bad, because Boulan is excellent on so many things and I would 100% go back and definitely recommend this hotel to others… However, the bed quality really brought down the overall appeal. If they can improve that one aspect, this would easily be a top-tier stay in South Beach.
