We enjoyed the complimentary cake and the free room upgrade we got plus the complete amenities. The breakfast buffet food could be improved a little in terms of flavor, but we did love their pastries (especially the Danish)! The pool was alright but a bit too chaotic for our liking considering there were lots of kids playing around. The staff was very kind and we got to check in faster than we expected (only 7 minutes past the check-in time). Above all, we loved the view from our room — will come back again!

Being right near The Podium and Megamall meant we could step out for shopping or a good meal without planning too much. For a family trip, that convenience matters. Our room was spacious. Enough room for the three of us to move comfortably without feeling cramped. The kitchen was fully equipped for simple meals. We did not end up cooking, but knowing we could added flexibility to the stay. Small details were done right. The hot and cold controls for the shower, bathtub, and sink worked perfectly. No guessing. No sudden temperature shifts. Just consistent comfort. Breakfast was another highlight. Plenty of meat options, which I appreciated. A solid spread that felt satisfying and complete. Overall, it was a relaxed, well-run stay that worked perfectly for a family trip. Polite service, strong attention to detail, and a location that makes everything convenient. Exactly what you want when traveling with the people who matter most.

I vouch for this hotel! I made a mistake with our check-in date, but the staff were so kind and let us modify it easily. It's tucked away inside San Antonio Village, which is a quiet and secure gated community, giving you peace of mind in a busy city. Yet, you're only a short, manageable walk away from major hubs like SM Megamall, Capitol Commons, and Shangri-La Plaza. If you rely on public transport, the proximity to the Shaw Boulevard MRT station is a huge plus. It’s an ideal base for shopping, working, or accessing neighboring Ortigas Center. The Staff deserves special mention. From the security guards to the front desk, everyone is genuinely friendly, accommodating, and quick to address requests. In a large metro, great service makes all the difference, and the team here is absolutely the highlight of the stay. The Rooms are surprisingly spacious, especially compared to newer, smaller budget studios. Many units come equipped with a small kitchenette (refrigerator, electric kettle, microwave in some), a comfortable desk for working, and good air conditioning. It’s a clean, safe, and functional space that is easy to call home for a few days or weeks. Simple things like having a reliable, high-speed Wi-Fi connection that never drops, or ensuring basic bathroom items (like a foot rug or consistent soap refills) are always present, are areas where the residence can be hit or miss. * Accessibility Check: For those traveling with a lot of luggage, prepare to handle it yourself. There’s a noticeable lack of luggage ramps or a dedicated doorman to assist upon arrival, which can be a hassle, especially on check-in day. * Evening Access: While the gated community setting is safe, the convenience gates nearest popular dining spots reportedly close around 10 PM. This means if you are out late, you might have a longer walk back through the main gate, which can be inconvenient. Verdict: If your priorities are location, safety, and having a good, functional space with excellent staff—and you're willing to overlook some minor facility and logistics kinks—The Studio 18 Residences is a smart and affordable choice. It provides far better value than many nearby hotels. It’s not a luxury experience, but it’s a perfectly reliable home base in Pasig. Richmonde Hotel Ortigas is a well-aged hotel that has clearly stood the test of time. I originally booked a Standard Room via Trip.com and decided to pay extra to upgrade to a Junior Suite upon arrival. It was absolutely worth it. One of the experienced staff recommended a room with an excellent view, and the scenery did not disappoint. The bed is very comfortable, perfect for a good night’s rest. The pillows, however, are on the softer side; I personally stacked three pillows to achieve better neck support. The air-conditioning is very powerful—almost freezing at times. I wasn’t entirely sure how to adjust it, and it seems to be set in Fahrenheit, but it works extremely well for those who enjoy a cold room. All the room lighting works as intended. The lights are on the warm, dim (orange) side, which seems intentionally designed to match the hotel’s classic and cozy ambience. It gives the room a calm, relaxing feel, especially at night. One small suggestion would be to provide additional plastic trash bags in the room and bathroom. I use food delivery services quite frequently during my stay and prefer to clear waste daily for cleanliness. The Junior Suite comes with a larger Smart TV, which was a pleasant surprise. You can easily log in to your own Netflix account—watching shows in bed felt like having a mini private cinema in the room. Extremely comfortable and enjoyable. The gym is a big plus—open from 6am to 9pm and almost always empty. It honestly felt like I had the entire gym to myself, which made workouts very pleasant. The swimming pool is currently closed for renovation, which is understandable. While the room is generally clean and comfortable, it could benefit from renovation and deeper cleaning. The wooden doors, curtains, desks, and drawers are showing their age and would greatly improve the overall experience if refreshed. That said, for a hotel that is over 25 years old, it has aged remarkably well. The location is excellent—one of the best aspects of this hotel. There are plenty of food and convenience options nearby, including 7-Eleven, Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks, Pancake House, and more. SM Megamall is just a short walk away, making shopping, dining, and commuting extremely convenient. Most importantly, the service from the staff is outstanding. There are warm greetings everywhere you go, and the staff are consistently polite, professional, and helpful. Their hospitality truly enhances the overall stay and makes guests feel welcomed. I will be trying their breakfast buffet soon and will update my review afterward to share whether it exceeds expectations. Overall, Richmonde Hotel Ortigas offers great value, comfort, excellent service, and an unbeatable location. I would gladly recommend it to travelers who appreciate classic charm paired with genuine Filipino hospitality.

Exceeded our expectations. Our room was very clean and relaxing. I requested a quiet room (away from the stairs or elevator) upon booking, but it seemed my request had been overlooked and we were given a room near the elevator. However, the staff were apologetic and helpful. We were transfered to another room while waiting at the lobby. I didn't have any concerns with the room we occupied. We had the good rest that we came here for. It was helpful that it was walking distance to SM East Ortigas, just that traffic on the way is of course an issue as the road is a very busy raod. Anyway, if a quiet and confortable place is what you're after, this is a place to be. Working TV and Netflix is a very big plus too! I will definitely check in again if I come past this area.
