Lake Placid Inn Boutique Hotel

Everything was great. It was clean, breakfast was good, and great location. Worst part was on the last night a youth hockey team arrived and the parents were up late drinking and being LOUD in the parking lot, then were quite obnoxious when they came into the building after midnight.

This is such an easy and comfortable place to stay. I have not had a bad experience in what must be ten visits now

Beautiful area, very clean, and extremely friendly staff. The floor we were on was not very quiet due to a kids hockey team staying on the same floor and they were playing in the hallway.

Convenient and cozy. Just too bad we could do early checkin, even though it was a Sunday. We were there 20 mins before 4pm.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lake Placid Boutique Hotel. Our room was beautiful and clean. The entire hotel had unique design features. The bathroom was modern and the shower was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly. The only drawback was parking is very tight, but we were able to have a spot it just took a little extra effort to get our truck in. The hotel is in a convenient location, just a block off the main road where the shops are. We would definitely book this hotel again.

We were beyond disappointed in this hotel. When we arrived at 4pm, our room was not ready. The older women at the front desk was absolutely miserable. I very kindly asked her how I would know when to come back since she was unable to give me a specific time, only stating “the room needs to be inspected”. I asked if the hotel could call or text me and she responded “no”. I asked if I should wait and was told “up to you”. I told her I wasn’t trying to cause issues, I just don’t know if I should come back in 2 hours or in 30 mins. She started at me for maybe 30 seconds and told me I should continue to check back with them however often I wanted to understand if the room was done. Additional issues, there is not enough parking at all. All of the spots were taken. I parked on the street and got a parking ticket for $35. The hotel did not care. They directed me to an overflow lot 1/2 a mile a way and told me I could park there. There are no amenities here. Our bathroom was covered in black mold which was surprising considering it’s brand new. I am sensitive to mold and after waking up very congested - decided to talk to the staff. I couldn’t find any staff though. I was so frustrated we ended up leaving and checking into a different hotel, cambria - which was amazing. Everything about this place is disappointing. It’s not a boutique hotel, it’s likely comparable to a motel. Room layout is weird, the faucet in the shower made no sense. I would consider looking elsewhere.

The elevator was extremely slow and there was only one. I could hear other guests and road noise from my room. My coffee maker was broken and the half and half was spoiled and there were no bottles of water given to make the coffee.

Everything was great. The staff was very helpful! Within walking distance of Lake Placid shops, restaurants and attractions. My only thing was trying to access the fitness room. My card wouldn’t open it up. I had to get someone from the front desk to open it for me. One of them told me that my card shouldn’t open this room. Didn’t understand that one.

Beautiful place! So clean and modern. Very friendly and breakfast was good too. Walking distance to everything and the lake is right outside the door. We will be back!
