This is a beautiful hotel, in a funny, cool location. It's magical driving on tiny roads, seemingly in the middle of nowhere, and suddenly seeing the cathedral looming over fields of grain. The hotel its very clean and convenient. The person working at the reception desk very kindly stayed until 10:00 PM to wait for our arrival, and it serves a great breakfast. It was an absolutely wonderful overnight stop on our way from Innsbruck to London. We'll definitely stay again if we get the chance!

This was a final stay of a return driving trip from Italy to England going via Switzerland and this was our last night, we booked on the day and arrived at about 6, the guy who met us could not have done enough for us, so welcoming and helpful, the hotel is brilliant, amazing decor and very funky, lovely rooms and very well equipped, lovely bar, now for the food, wow, this was nothing short of exceptional, we did a 4 course option and it was simply faultless. Amazing selection of wines, especially the fizzy local ones!, great breakfast as well. This was a firm 10 out of 10, so much so we are now planning a specific trip back to this hotel it was that good.

Very pretty village with its own Basilica opposite hotel. Looks like a lovely traditional French Auberge from outside, but inside everything tastefully modernised. Host and staff really friendly and welcoming. Indoor pool and gardens leading from it very charming & relaxing; bedroom comfortable, with terrace. Breakfast and the room it was served in outstanding , but evening meal not to our taste (except for amazing cheese board) but staff and ambience in dining room excellent. Would go again!

Have stayed here on and off for decades, going back to the 1980s. Has always been a good stop on way to, or from, Calais. Rooms can be a bit small but well presented. The highlight has always been dinner - the first or last taste of fine French dining on holiday. But not impressed this time. On reflection the best courses were the ones where the chef has little or no input - foie gras starters and a fabulous cheese trolley. It was the main courses that were a big disappointment. My wife sent hers back as clearly undercooked even for France. Ended up just eating the vegetables. No apology or reduction in price offered when clearly something wrong. Not good when the meal cost 275 Euros including drinks... Think we will be looking elsewhere next time. Shame.

We greatly enjoyed our visit on 16 August 2024. The room was spacious and comfortable. We arrived in the afternoon and had a nice swim and used the spa before having a lovely dinner. The village is lovely and the hotel is in a great location by the basilica. We look forward to our return in September.

How wonderful to return to the hotel after a number of years and find it even better than it was before its long period of closure. From initial reception to departure, we were treated as valued guests. The room was excellent as were the service and food in the restaurant. We shall definitely return!

Ideal as a last stop before the channel tunnel - about 3 hours away. Nice modern rooms with good clean facilities. Excellent restaurant on site. The pool is clean and opens onto the garden. Friendly staff.

Lovely hotel. Great rooms. Excellent comfort. V good service. Quiet. Pretty grounds. Secure parking. Restaurant was disappointing. Many years ago(!) it was much better. Food was really not very good. - strange combinations of ingredients just didn't work.

What a find! We booked a room last minute yesterday due to a problem with a booking at another hotel in Epernay. Melanie on reception couldn’t have been more helpful. We called ahead to check availability before booking online and she explained clearly that the restaurant and bar are both closed on Sunday evenings, which was a shame for us but she emailed me a list of restaurants in Challon-en-Champagne that would be open. (Challon is a 10 minute drive from the hotel) and when we arrived she helped us locate a service station for fuel. The room was very well appointed, with a marvellous bathroom and strong rainfall shower (first one I’ve come across) and a super comfortable bed, which was much needed. Breakfast was excellent and sadly we couldn’t do it justice, but the food on offer would satisfy any palate and the breakfast room is very classy. We only had one night and didn’t have time to check out the pool and spa but I’m sure they would be equally good. The hotel is tastefully decorated with great features in the rooms, and the enclosed private parking a real bonus when you have a fully loaded car, so it’s now on our list of stop offs, as it’s very easy to reach the A4 and subsequently the A26. Merci beaucoup Melanie, a bien tot!
