Fata Garden Hotel by Place2Stay Kuching

Time is up for the Fata!!! Recommendation: NO! I would never go there again. ONLY 2 points out of 5. Value for money: *** Location: ** Cleanliness: *** Staff: **** Amenities: * No lift, no pool, no breakfast. I had to carry my 35 kg suitcase myself up the staircase with 65 steps!!! Never again! Negative: 1.) Small and old hotel. Looks gruesome from the outside. 2.) No lift! I had to carry my 35 kg suitcase myself 65 steps up into the third floor. If you are unlucky, you may end up in the 4th or 5th floor. 3.) Very small room and an unbelievably tiny bathroom- I think shower and toilet together were just 1 square metre!But you get what you pay- the room is cheap! 4.) No breakfast! 5.) 3 km / 1 hour walking distance to the harbour centre where the music is playing (were all the shops and restaurants etc. are...) Positive: 1.) Cheap room- what you pay is what you get. 2.) Nice and friendly staff who tries to help with things. 3.) Room includes paperwork desk with mirror, TV and big bed.

This hotel had been undergoing major renovations. All facilities been upgraded. Comes with private parking. A 7/11 is just next door. Walking distance to riverbank, museum, parks and shopping centre. Hotel is clean and nice now.

Fata is a boutique hotel which had undergone major refurbishment as introduced by their friendly staff. Tv box is a plus for my noisy kids. They even provide extra towels and drinking water. Definitely worth the value. There is a 7eleven shop just next door. We had a rental car and the staff also reserved a space for us when we come back.
