Останавливались на один день... Хватило чтоб понять что это просто гостевой дом... Есть чистый бассейн но подсветки в нем нет и плавать не комфортно.. Если хотите там поесть, меню нет... Цены договорные.. По настроению хозяев наверное. Вай фай местами... Рядом с номеров хозяина которой со своей семьей живет в этом же доме... В 9 вечера все выключается и надо ходить спрашивать разрешение поплавать в бассейне.. Лежаков возле бассейна нет, они возле номеров? Для чего не понятно. Завтрак хороший. Временами слышно поезд. Горячая вода есть. На твердую тройку гостевой дом.

I love this place and the people who own and run it. It’s a small family run business and I have stayed there every trip I have had to Sri Lanka. It remains my favourite of all places. I think I’ve been there 4 or 5 times. The food cooked by Sunita and Antica (not sure of the spelling) is, without a doubt, the best in Sri Lanka. Sanka is a marvellous driver and tour guide and the rooms are super clean and comfy. Koni and the entire family are generous, gorgeous souls who can’t do enough for you. I love it!

This was my favourite Sri Lankan experience. I am a bit of a princess and have travelled to many counties. The Sanka Rest beds and bathroom are exceptionally clean and comfy. The pool was fabulous. I know everyone says it but, Sunita’s food is the best I have had in Sri Lanka (she cooks with cinnamon wood ) and we saw her drying her spices and then pounding them into aromatic heaven. But most importantly for me was the generosity of the whole family I will be back.

An amazing place, a paradise we whole heartedly recommend, for singles, couples and families, 5 min. from the beach. The hospitality of Koni and the family is deeply touching, their care and love unique, as is the delicious food Sunita cooks, the variety of dishes, curries and tropical fruits, yummy. The rooms are super clean and spacious, the beds and mattress made us sleep like babies - a perfect experience! And, the swimming pool a non-plus ultra to cool day and night! We will definitely go back as soon as possible and stay at Sankarest, and from there explore more of Sri Lanka with Sanka as our tour guide.

I can recommend this small hotel for anyone who want a place to relax. Nice pool to use . Natural Beach close Stayed 5 nights and had all meals there which were delicious cooked with a large variety of spices. If you want to go on excursions nearby ,they arrange for you, they have an own tuktuk and with safe driving you can do several visits nearby. Also they made an appoin**ent for massage at ayurvedic center that was really good.

The most beautiful oasis of calm within metres of the beach. You lie on your private terrace and listen to waves breaking on the shore. The food is so generous and of the highest quality I have had anywhere in Sri Lanka. Wonderful pool and all facilities are excellent. Wi-Fi and mosquito nets all provided. The family running the Sankarest Villa speak several languages and could not do more to welcome their guests. I recommend Sankarest very highly and it is the only place for me.

Thank you for having us at Sankarest. Great for families, couples, and single travelers, quiet, excellent location. Short walk to a lovely natural beach. Sanka and his family are attentive and take care of all our needs. A big shout to the kitchen staff, who dished out some mouth-watering local delicacies. Garden and the pool were kept clean. Sanka assisted us with local travel which was very convenient. Out and out a great holiday at a place that takes care of you. Highly recommended.

Excellent Accommodation with brightness and greenery in the garden with beautiful features. The Villa is near the beach - where you can go for a pleasant walk. The breakfast offered was fantastic And the family is extremely friendly. They made us part of the family

We chose our stay at Sankarest Villa with the idea of a complete rest in mind after several days traveling around the island. We were not disappointed. From the minute we arrived we were warmly greeted by the family that run the Villa. Over the next four days were able to spend time relaxing by the great pool in the very lovely garden as well as take local trips organised by the family in their own Tuk Tuk. We chose to eat at the Villa everyday enjoying the more than delicious food cooked by Sunita and her team who accommodated our dietary requirements perfectly. Sanka, the house manager, was constantly attentive to any enquiries or needs. He was informative about local places of interest including arranging the best massage that we experienced in Sri Lanka. We spent enjoyable and entertaining times chatting with Kohnie who also ensured that we had everything that we wanted. The location was perfect for us situated yards away from a beautiful solitary beach but also near transport. The Villa was very well priced for our spotless accommodation. There was a warm family a**osphere but we also enjoyed the privacy that the accommodation afforded in terms of size and space. Sankarest has many returning visitors. We hope to be amongst them in the future. Thank you also to Thamale, Buba, Hailey and Selena.
