The behavior of the staff is very friendly and respectful. The in-house dining options are good. Clean rooms and good amenities overall. Highly recommended. Gopal is the oldest staff and is very good. Anirban, Rahaman and Avijit are wonderful.

The hotel is an oasis of calm amongst the madness of Kolkata. The building appears to be over 100 years old and the inside feels very colonial with a central wooden staircase. The room was a good size and the bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was also a good size and everything was clean and tidy. The restaurant served good food and the breakfast was adequate with choices available for all tastes ( although targeted at an Indian pallet). The best thing about the hotel, however, was the staff who were super attentive and polite. The Maidan and Victoria monument are a short walk from the hotel as is the metro station and numerous shops and restaurants. One thing to bear in mind, although this is probably not under the control of the hotel, is that the taxi pick up from the airport arranged through the hotel was probably 5 times the usual price. All in all a great hotel which I would recommend to other travellers.

Sandip was a very excellent bartender his behaviour was very helpful serve such a great drink even the club qas very friendly and good for everyone that' why I came every week over here................................................

If you are coming to Kolkata you must stay in the astor. The ambience is soo good and also the service is excellent here,all the hotel staff Rahul ji,Khurshid bhai, Siddharth ji and manager Avijit ji. They all are very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming. The room is very clean and tidy and was spotless everyday. The ambience of the restaurant was lovely and service was attentive and courteous. The food quality was consistent. Hotel provides complimentary breakfast was very good. Thank you so much for everything provided by the astor hotel kolkata.

Very comfortable beds, phenomenal service! Staff is so friendly and professional. Rooms are cosy and clean. Special thanks to Subrato, Risa, and Abhijit ***** with the house keeping staff’. I will come again whenever I get an opportunity and bring my loved ones over as well.
