Very helpful staff… they were able to help me arrange for hassle free transportation… amnesties in the bathroom were a bit rundown but it seems to be the norm here on the island

We really enjoyed our stay in Zama. First of all the staff were excellent - welcoming and helpful. The girl at the reception specifically was wonderful and catered for all our needs. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Not new and needs some touchup but really ok for the price. All rooms are surrounded by a beautiful garden. The view from the room was exceptional. You should note that that depending on the room's location, there could be a lot of stairs. The hotel's restaurant was also very good. Do try it. The hotel is a bit far from everything so you will probably need some transportation. We got help from the receptionist renting bikes and it was great. Great beaches located a short motorbike ride from the hotel. We really recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at Zama Resort! It is a beautiful resort with great breakfast and food and a nice pool to relax. When we left something important in the hotel room after leaving the island, the owner of the hotel went out of her way to contact me and discuss how to best deliver it to me. I am very thankful for that and would like to highlight the friendly and familiar atmosphere.

This resort was perfect. The location was great, right on the beach. The staff were incredible. Their attention to detail was amazing and they were always one step ahead of us with anything we needed. Would highly recommend eating at the restaurant too. The food is delicious and service amazing. I regret I did not her her name, but the woman on the front desk was truly amazing.

Fab views and lovely breakfast. Staff nice and friendly as always. The room was nice and quiet with an amazing sea view. The breakfast was really nice too. It was a shine we only stayed here for one night as we would have loved to stay longer. Very dark at night so bring a torch

I've given 4 stars as I feel the resort could benefit from a little upgrade here & there and because of the endless number of steps! We booked a sea view room, it was down, I don't know how many steps, uneven, rocky steps, then up, then down!! Nowhere mentioned the steps, not the website or bookings.com. it really should be highlighted. If you have any issue with steps, you will struggle. I appreciate it is on a cliff, I assumed the room would be at the top, not the bottom!! The room had a big balcony, table and chairs, lovely view. The room was a good size, but it was quite dated. The bathroom was more a wet room with a hand-held shower head. It should be better for the price. I also feel the room is the wrong way round! The view from the bed overlooks another room, yet the view from the dressing table overlooks the sea!! The bar / restaurant is very good. We enjoyed some lovely cocktails! We ate twice for dinner, the first night was lovely but unfortunately the last night was not as good. I think management wasn't around that night. Breakfast was fantastic and amazingly, served until 5 pm!! Cheese & Bacon Croissants...!!! Big choice, big portions!! Breakfast ends at 5 pm. Happy Hour starts at 5 pm!! The staff are all very, very friendly, helpful and just lovely!! The swimming pool is very nice too. The swim up bar wasn't open, which was a shame. On the whole, we very much enjoyed our stay. It's a nice relaxing hotel, walking distance to other restaurants and secret beach is a 7 minute walk away - up & down a mega hill!

We stayed here for 8 nights. We have been travelling around Asia and we wanted some downtime in one place to unwind for a long period of time, and this hotel was perfect and helped us to achieve this. We stayed in room 20 which had a partial sea view, and we had a lovely view of the sea and Ang Thong Marine Park in the distance. We also had a nice balcony with seating and shade to relax. Our room was nice and it had a fridge with complimentary water, a kettle and a safe, and lots of storage. The only small negative point about the room was that the bathroom was looking a bit tired (the wall tiles were old, and were discoloured and had been patched up in areas, and the grouting looked old) and the water temperature was a bit erratic; not always hot. I am not always a fan of open showers where water flows over the entire floor of the bathroom, but that is just my preference and this bathroom had an open shower. The Wi-Fi in the room was also a bit inconsistent and we found that it frequently dropped out. Other than that, the bed and pillows were so comfortable and everything felt spotlessly clean. It’s so cute that they give you mosquito repellant as there are lots of mosquitos on the island, and they also gave us lovely little biscuits. They also provide a little beach bag with towels and matts for lying on the beach which was so thoughtful and a lovely touch. They also provided toiletries and coffee / tea and creamer in the room. It was so quiet here, and whilst there were other guests staying here, we didn’t hear them. The restaurant area is really funky with views of the ocean and lots of seating areas. Breakfast was included, and there were lots of options available and they gave us fresh fruit, fruit juice and coffee every morning. We also had dinner a few times in the restaurant and the food was so good and quite reasonably priced. The staff here are the nicest people, and they really looked after us. Such welcoming and friendly service and we felt at home. We loved the resident cats too - they were so cute. There is a nice pool area with loungers to sit and catch the sunset or to just look out. A small area of improvement is that some of the umbrellas were damaged and didn’t open fully as the holding points were broken at the end, and some of the tiles in the pool were looking a bit tired. These are just some small improvements which could be made. A point to note is that there are lots of steep steps leading down to the rooms and the beach below, but the island is very hilly. There are lots of restaurants and beautiful beaches close to the hotel, and within walking distance if you don’t hire a moped, but there are a few inclines in both directions, so be prepared. The hotel arranged a trip to Ang Thong for us which we would recommend and they also have a contact who was a driver who took us on a private tour which we would also recommend if you don’t have your own transport. They also arranged our transfers to and from Ko Sa

Amazing stay! The staff is always with a smile, speak perfect English and are sweet and funny. The rooms with part sea view are luxury. Parquet, all feels new, the bed is super good quality, nice views, provide soaps, conditioner and more things (also hair drier). You can go down in the stairs to the beach if you go up in two stones :) very nice beach. Its close to the city and nice restaurants

From check-in to check-out we couldn't have asked for a more lovelier experience. Our bungalow was amazing, the grounds are full of beautiful flowers and smells. The food was consistently awesome and so were the cocktails. Everybody who works there are so lovely, kind and helpful, Wei is so funny, I miss her! The place is spotless. I can not recommend this place enough. Take me back now!

We stayed at Zama Resort on 12.8.22. We booked this last minute when the Full Moon Party date changed and we had to change hotel. We are so glad that we had to change and we found this gem! The view is incredible, the pool is lovely and the service is outstanding. From the moment we checked in, to the moment we left, we were looked after and received amazing service - the staff couldn't do enough to help. They arranged taxis to and from the pier and to the Full Moon Party that evening, which was a huge help as it is around 40 minutes away from Haad Rin Beach. The breakfast options were amazing and we could order it at any point during the day. We checked out at 12pm but didn't need to leave for our ferry until 3pm. The staff were kind and let us chill in the reception area on the beanbags. Thank you Zama Resort for our wonderful stay. We wish we didn't have to leave!

Lovely resort in a fun area of Koh Phangan. The resort has a lot of steps, but the view looking out to the sea is just incredible from the sea view rooms. Steve was really welcoming and friendly and helped us with questions and tips for things to do- really lovely experience.
