I stayed here for two nights after staying at their sister resort in the other side of the island (Ziggy Stardust). This is most definitely a few steps up from Ziggy Stardust and from what I could tell probably one of the best resorts on the island. The resort is quiet as it’s for adults only (no kids running around) and the rooms are large, clean and extremely comfortable. This was the most comfortable mattress I have slept on during my entire 10-day trip from Phuket to Koh Phayam. The food is great (mostly the same menu as in Ziggy Stardust) although they ran out of some options and the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The young man with glasses at reception (sorry, I forgot his name) was fantastic! This is the sunrise side of the island and although the beach isn’t as big as Aow Yai it was still nice and the pool is a great added benefit too. The only issue I had was that I couldn’t get a late check out because they needed my room on my departure day. This is obviously not their fault and not something I blame them for but I couldn’t even sit and have a meal at their restaurant while waiting for my afternoon ferry because a large group of seniors had occupied every seat in the shade (I’m guessing they were waiting to check in and were the reason I couldn’t get a late check out). A shame as I would’ve wanted to stay the last few hours I had on the island relaxing there but instead had to leave and look for somewhere else. But just a little detail that didn’t in any way diminish my experience there. Definitely worth a visit!

We had an excellent stay and wished we could stay longer. The service started with the complementary pickup at the pier. At our arrival at the resort we wete welcomed with a cold drink and refreshing towel. The have a great cook in the kitchen. The food was delicious and locally grown. The resort was very ecologically concerned. The houses were great. Spacious with a king bed, an inner (cold) shower and an outside warm shower. There was an isdue with our boat back to Ranong we didn’t know of. The staff took proactively action including calling our travel agent to arrange that the taxi would be there on time in Ranong. Only then we were informed. Talking about keeping the stress away! I highly recommend this resort and would go back in a heartbeat.

We stayed 5 nights at this well run place. Very kind and enthousiast staff. They are ECO, by providing you with refill bottle for water, making up your room and changing towels/bed linnen only on demand. and stimulate collecting waste from the natural beach. 👍👍 We booked directly on their website. Lovely quiet natural beach but with only eight sun-beds, some in very bad shape. Also the pool had limited sun-beds and parasols available. This stimulates guests to reserve pool beds by their towel. Awful habit! (So 4 star instead of 5).

Truly wonderful. The bungalows are gorgeous and well appointed, with the outside shower being a highlight! A very peaceful and quiet location and both the pool area and beach are stunning! Food and drink in the restaurant are both very good quality and staff are lovely and happy to help with organising tuk-tuks, motorbikes and massages. The hornbills and monkeys in the trees above the beach and restaurant are an added delight! A special thank you must go to Nandor who was so friendly and helpful and to the 2 ladies who gave us several amazing treatments in the beach (sorry I don’t know your names) you were amazing! This place really does feel like paradise.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the accommodation very comfortable the location perfect for a quiet time on the island. Close enough to bars on the West beach but secluded. This is a quiet island but if you want a bit livelier go to Long beach. I would stay here!

This is always a great pleasure. Staying at Phayamas is like being home but with much more luxury, with beautiful garden, awesome cuisine, beach, place to work and rest and the most beautiful and helpful staff!! We cannot wait to come back. See you next year.

Phayamas has been our home away from home for four seasons now, only interrupted by the pandemic. This time for exactly one month. The location is perfect, in a strategic position in the middle of the island. We love to take walks along the beautiful beach in the mornings, and bike around the island during the day. Although Phayamas feels perfect, it manages to get a little better every year. The staff is amazing and so is the restaurant. Our bungalow was large, with AC and indoor and outdoor shower. The bed is really comfortable. We have already booked our 5th time.

The staff was great. Breakfast was very nice. The facilities were good. And our non-Air Condition room was very sufficient. Now for the bad part, we were there about eight days as I recall, and the Internet worked in our room for two of the days and not a bit after that. We had to go down by the pool. For wi fi. The other thing they made us pay a key deposit which was to be returned after seven days on my credit card and it hasn’t been credited after 10 days

The resort itself is a true hidden paradise—surrounded by lush greenery and the sound of the ocean, it’s the perfect place to reconnect with nature and yourself. The bungalows are beautifully designed, offering a mix of comfort and rustic charm, with all the modern amenities you could ask for. The outdoor showers were a delightful touch, adding to the natural vibe of the place. I loved waking up to the peaceful sounds of birds and the gentle sea breeze. I must mention their two adorable dogs, who made my stay even more special with their sweet companionship. If you’re looking for a serene escape where you can relax and recharge, Phayamas is the place to be! Every detail is thought of, and I can’t wait to return.
