It probably was a great place to stay years ago, but not anymore! Avoid! Staff are renting there own motorbikes to try and make an extra buck, normally I’m up for this but they tried to give me some broken bike and smiled as if it was ok. There was a mistake with my booking so I couldn’t get the room I paid for so I had to pay for an upgraded room which I happily did. Trip.com offered to refund me so all I needed from the hotel was a receipt to show Trip.com but because the receptionist didn’t put me through the system and just pocketed the extra money that I had to pay in cash, she couldn’t give me a receipt, now I’m caught up in this scam they have going. I obviously was not able to leave a tip after all this weirdness, I have never in all 50 years of staying in hotels been asked to pay for the hotels mistake. Usually upgrades are free as an apology for not providing what was originally advertised and paid for.

臨時定的酒店，網上評分不高，所以有空房，入住後，發現還可以，前面的海灘幾乎沒什麼遊客，如果你喜歡安靜，瑪島確實是不錯的度假勝地。

Хорошее расположение, рядом много кафе, прокатов мотообайков, в отличие от других мест острова Мак, есть бассейн, завтрак стандартный шведский стол, номер был на втором этаже с краю огромный, с красивым балконом с видом на бассейн и море, из минусов только одно полотенце для всего 😄😄 и самое ужасное вай фай, мало того, что медленный, но ещё и постоянно вырубается ☹️☹️, а так очень даже неплохо.

We’ve been here 10 years ago. Everything is amazing! Best pizzas we’ve ever had, also the pasta and another Thai dishes are so good. The staffs are very kind and friendly, she recommended us so many things to do in Ko Mak. Surely come back and visit here again.

Beach front bungalow was nice and clean. You can hear the waves from your room. There are rocks near the beach especially during tide. The staff was really nice and helped us with all our requests. No water pressure in the shower. Rent a scooter to see the island.

This is a very nice resort middle of the beach at Mak. Mak is a very quiet island. Not much is happening here. A few restaurants and shops at the street but the day you will spend on a sunbed. The beach is full of sandflies and a few min at the beach will give you a lot of bites. So be aware of that. Resort is lacking of post Covid. Staff does not respond at emails or if you’re lucky it takes a long time.

We stayed for 8 days in an ocean front villa & were very happy with the accommodation. The room & bathroom are very spacious & the air-conditioner worked very well. The rooms are serviced on request, so very acceptable. The large bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were good with both Asian & Western. The Asian were particularly good & the choices changed each day, whilst the Western was a little more "same same". It was great to eat virtually on the beach. Both Wow & Saifah on reception were very helpful & friendly. There are some maintenance issues which need addressing i.e. our veranda needs repairing as do the sun loungers & the entrance to the resort looks like a junk yard with old furniture & obsolete motorised bikes strewn around.

We had a great stay at Makathanee! We splurged and had a beach view bungalow … which was amazing! The room was spacious, the bed was soft and comfy, the view was amazing and the sound of the surf was loud. The resort grounds are pretty and well maintained. We never went to the pool but walked by and nobody was there. The chairs on the grass by the beach were always full. The beach was clean and inviting and the water was warm. Good things: nice (10/10) staff, good breakfast, nice restaurant on the roof and good location. We had a few meals nearby on the street and rented a bike to explore the island. We also enjoyed the restaurants and bars on the beach nearby. You are not isolated at this resort. Not so good things: the only thing we didn’t like was the old, broken chairs on our patio and on the grass. Not that important- but something they could plan to replace. Great location, peaceful but not boring, great facility

We booked 4 nights at Makathanee House after a few days in Bangkok. It was exactly what we would have wished for. The bungalow was a stones throw away from the beach. We had it almost all to ourselves. The bungalow was very spacious and clean. The only criticism I had was that the air con unit was not in a great place. It was directly by the head of the bed so your face got really cold at night…..other than that it was perfect. The staff were so helpful. Their launders service was very efficient, the clothes came back smelling lovely. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nette CheckIn Begrüssung und Abholservice vom Pier. Das liebliche thailändische kenne ich sicher genug  fehlt bei diesem Resort. Liegt vieles herum statt zu versorgen oder zu reparieren. Zeit wäre ja vorhanden. Leider nur das nötigste gemacht. Bei Villa S1 äußerste zu forderst, wunderschöner Blick aufs Meer und Sonnenuntergang jedoch laufen alle vorne durch weil der nicht Strandweg (Flut) dort durchgeht. Frühstück ausreichend vielfältig. Zimmer reinigen an Reception melden und Schieber am Bungi stellen, jedoch beinhaltet nur Wischen/Nass aufnehmen und Bettt richten keine Douche, Lavabo, WC. Keine Mittel zur Verfügung (WC). Jeden Tag frische Douche Handtücher was Luxus ist, jedoch bei 9 Nächte kein frisches Bett erhalten nur Kissenbezug. Zuwenig Liegestühle für die Anzahl Bungis. Nachbar Bar viel zu laute Musik mit abartigem Bass, schade für die Meeresgeräusche konnten nur mit Ohrstöpsel schlafen. Keine Verdunkelungsvorhänge nur normale teilw def müsste neuer Klett hin. Matratze dringend austauschen 2 grosse Löcher und keine erholten Nächte! Diverse Beizli zu Fuss gut erreichbar und Weg beleuchtet Apotheke und kleiner Einkaufsladen f das Nötigste vorhanden. Wir kommen nicht mehr, es gibt noch weitere schöne Inseln und Thailand wo der Flair hoffe ich stets noch besteht.

Wenn ihr Zentral sein wollt seid ihr richtig.Die Bungalows scheinen auch ganz ok zu sein.Nur der Rest lässt zuwünschen übrig.Frühstück ist unter aller ...Zimmer Renovierungsbedürftig keine Hand bzw.Badetücher musst du fragen.Plastik Teller zum Frühstück wie im Gefängnis Kaffee.......trinkt zuhause .Der Garten ist auch ok nur Auflagen für die Plastik Liegen wäre auch kein Luxus.
