Small hotel 9 bedrooms, in a nice part of the country. Lots of choice in the area so needs to set high standards. Bedrooms on 1st and 2nd floor . Probably due to it bring early season, the bar wasn’t open at night, however we just went along to the duke of gordon. Food was nice, just what i would expect in s family run hotel. In high season the restaurant / bar meals are likely to be very busy so maybe be aware of that.

Perfect stay. We stayed in room 9. Spacious clean lovely bedroom. -good facilities. Food was amazing. Perfect location for walks/ visiting attractions. Liz (I think) the woman who greeted us was very friendly and made our stay 10x better.

The room had everything we needed but what made the stay was the friendly staff and the delicious food. We ate at the restaurant, and had breakfast the next morning. Rory, a young waiter, was so pleasant and smiley. Liz made us feel completely at home, answering all our questions. I will definitely be back.

Really enjoyable meal where I took my mother out for early Mother’s Day meal. I had steak pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. My mother had chicken & mushroom dish with seasonal veg and Sticky Toffee pudding too. Although main course was good, the dessert has got to be the best I’ve had in a long time. Really decent helping of sticky toffee pudding and 3 balls of ice cream. None of this dry cake, tiny portion with tiny scoop of ice cream. Great helping of ice cream and large cake (ideal moist texture in centre of cake). 5/5 for taste & quality. To top it off as a local we got 25% off meal (which discovered when giving tip) Class!

We were warmly welcomed and the friendliness and efficiency of the staff was memorable. Requests for variations from standard provision were met with encouragement and organised without delay.

Stayed for 3 nights B&B, with an evening meal on 2 nights. Clean hotel with all the facilities in working order. We had a lovely room with a view and great meals. The team working there were helpful and friendly. It’s a short walk to the bus and train station, there’s plenty of space in the private car park and there’s EV charging points in a public car park around the corner.

Checkin was done in advance on line, which resulted in an efficient handing over of the room keys and a quiet welcome from the receptionist/chef. Our room ( number 1) was spacious, bright and well appointed, although I’d have preferred a china cup for my tea/ coffee. On reflection I should have asked for one, but only thought of that now as I am writing this. Really liked the room service system, where the staff would only come on request. There are cards in the room which you complete if you need any extra tea, coffee, towels etc. We had both breakfast ( a preorder system, which worked perfectly) and dinner here every day of our 4 night break. Be warned, the full breakfast portions are huge, but looked amazing .Neither of us had the courage to try them, as it would have been a waste. The waiting staff were polite, efficient, and Liz on her duty mornings always had time for a friendly blether. We did have an issue with the TV in our room, which was annoying, but the hotel owners recompensed us with the most generous discount on our bill. This stay was a little disappointing compared to other stays we have had (same price point or less) on our current trip across England and Scotland.
Check-in was a little disorganized. Staff were friendly, but seemed a little flustered/confused. Same to be said for the restaurant and dinner. The room was decent and had much that you would need. The shower was a little dirty, there was a handle broken off in the shower, and the plug was broken and laying on the sink. There was a kettle, tea, coffee etc, but only plastic cups to have anything in, which made it a little hard to drink.

My Family and I stayed at the McInnes House Hotel for Sept Weekend 2023, the Hotel was family friendly and immaculate and very clean throughout, the Staff member Bryan was very helpful throughout our stay here and made us feel very welcome, the Chefs Liz and Chris cooked our food to perfection and the portions of food sizes were good value for money and the kids loved the desserts available. The manager Robert ensured we had everything we needed during our stay, the rooms were up to date and had everything needed to make us feel at home. I would definitely recommend this Hotel and the staff if you are looking for somewhere to stay where you can relax and unwind the Mcinnes House Hotel is the place to go.
