Esplanade Hotel

We enjoyed a five night family stay at The Esplanade and had a lovely time. The staff are absolutely brilliant, always smiling and helpful, nothing too much trouble. We had the breakfast and dinner all inclusive package which was excellent value for money. The food was top notch, the menu varied and specials on every day. It’s ideal for families because everyone understands what it’s like with kids!

Wonderful hotel with fabulous views over Fistral beach. We didn’t have a sea view room but had a lovely balcony. Our family room was a good size and had some lovely touches for the kids. Beds were super comfy! Breakfast service was excellent and food delicious. We took the kids swimming every day and it was never packed even in August! The highlights were the wonderful activities for the kids (rockpooling with marine biologists, silent disco and caricatures!) and sitting with a beer watching the waves in the relaxing area. Thank you for an amazing 5 days.

Perfect. The most amazing views. Never closed the curtains or windows once. To hear the sea all night was amazing. Parking is bit tricky so reserve your space. We didn’t but got lucky. Family room was huge. Separate parents area with King bed, kids had bunk beds. Didn’t do breakfast as your 20 steps from the sea spray cafe which is our favourite. 4 breakfast and drinks around £65 with an amazing view. Hotel was £80 with a good view so it depends what you like. We like getting up and having a walk first. Taxi was difficult to get. Ubers just wouldn’t accept the fare. Hotel rang round and got one. £8 into Newquay, although there is a lovely walk that take around 25mins. Just wouldn’t fancy it late at night. Pool was small but clean. Kids enjoyed it. Could range of things to do for the kids including games. Conservatory was great for a drink in the afternoons. Hoping they open their August bookings soon so we can rebook.

We have just returned from the most incredible stay, I honestly can't recommend this hotel enough. The staff, rooms, facilities and food is just perfect. It's a family dream hotel, highly recommend booking a seaview room it's just incredible the views are spectacular. So much to do at the hotel we did not leave all weekend, soft play, swimming, cinema, silent disco the list is endless.

Excellent first been here many times before - great location and value for money. Shout out to Adam (reception) for his professional service and help with the EV chargers great with guests, really engaging and customer friendly (makes All the difference ) Amy who managed the main area has equally professional and helpful - thank you Superb views of sea, breakfast very nice and staff can’t do enough to make you feel welcome Thank you from Emma and Jason for making our stay relaxing - we shall be back Happy summer

Lovely hotel, very pleasant restaurant staff. Not much off street parking. Only 12 spaces available free for guest at the hotel or there are some you can reserve for a fee (think £15 per day) . The road it's on offers free parking but be warned it gets very very busy with surfers cars and vans, not leaving many spaces to park. At peak times there are none. Breakfast is something you might want to book in advance as we couldn't get early breakfast every day as a school was booked in for early ones. (they were very noisy and we had to change rooms, so check when you book if a school is going to be there) We ate in the hotel a couple of times and was very good albeit a limited menu. (recommen Lewinnick Lodge, and ensure you book it great food great views too) Get a Seaview as the view is stunning of Fistral Beach which is literally across the road down some steps and your on a fabulous beach. The tide does come in and when it does you can't get on the beach from the hotel end. We weren't to impressed with Newquay as a town as it was a bit run down and full of charity shops and not so nice restaurants and bars. We found best to travel out of town to eat. Travel wasn't to bad a few hold ups here and there, July and August must be a nightmare and wouldn't visit that part of the world then. Would recommend a trip to Tintagel, Padstow, Truro and The Eden project.

Recently Stayed in this beautifully located hotel for a week, the location is just unreal and so close to a stunning path leading you to fistral beach. The hotel was lovely decorated, light and had beautiful views for when you was eating your breakfast/lunch etc. the food was lovely cooked, and the burgers was very tasty! I wanted to try the steak but I seen it was an extra additional charge of £7.50 for peppercorn sauce so decided not too, also you had to pay £6 for room service so it was worth just going downstairs to pick the food up. The mojito cocktails was just unreal and worth every penny The staff was amazing throughout, happy and welcoming all the time, especially the ladies at breakfast, they had our order down to a tee and was so efficient, they was also super kind to our golden retriever Dudley who loved them coming over to give him some attention and fuss. All in all it was a beautiful stay and I would happily come back, the only downside is that the parking situation is quite sketchy, we ended up paying for a spot in the end for the week but we was lucky to be able to get that as we hadn’t precooked. Fistral you’ve been a pleasure.

We have been coming to the Esplanade Hotel as a family for the last 10 years. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else. It is just perfect for family’s. It is only a 3 min walk down steps to the beach. Rooms are lovely. Breakfast is great. Staff are all amazing. The Amy’s in the restaurant. Claudia and Chris on reception are very helpful. We can’t wait to come back again in a few months.

We booked 2 nights stay and we had a very relaxing stay, I also took my dog and my girlfriend and we all felt spoilt, We where lucky enough to book when the kids went back to school as its a family friendly hotel and it wasn't busy so we experienced the quite time and thoroughly enjoyed the peace as I can imagen how hectic it can get with kids running around. We didn't want to venture outside the hotel so we payed for a package that included a 3 course meal and breakfast and we didn't regret doing that as both nights we had something different and really enjoyed the food and to choose anything from the menu was a bonus as some places don't allow steak or mix grill in the offer so I really enjoy the stake on my last night. Staff where brilliant couldn't fault them at all, bar staff very well trained in cocktail making and was some of the best cocktails I've had. The swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna was a nice to relax in. I would definitely stay there again, I will just wait until kids are back in school as this is a dog friendly hotel and was the reason we choose to stay and didn't disappoint. Experience the best sunset I've seen in a very long time while having my meal.
