The location is good, in Kavros, near Georgioupolis, a small town between Chania and Rethymno. The resort has everything you need to have a good time. The beach is very large, with fine sand and a smooth entrance into the sea. Sunbeds for everyone included in the price. We stayed in a standard double room. Spacious enough, well equipped (e.g. including table and iron). Daily cleaning. On arrival, a bottle of wine and Cretan sweets were waiting for us in the room. The main restaurant is spacious, including an outdoor terrace. Plenty of food for almost every taste. Interesting breaks from the monotony with surprises such as suckling pig on a spit, large oceanic fish cooked in a local way, various Cretan dishes, etc.). Also, on the ground floor of the main building there is an a-la-carte restaurant, where you have to book in advance; Greek, Italian, etc. We didn't visit it because we didn't really have time. Next to the beach there is a terrace that works as a bar, but also as a restaurant where you can have lunch. The menu is different from the main restaurant (they have an interesting, appetizing barbeque...). And the bars are nice, with a rich assortment of drinks and other... goodies. The staff is very dedicated to their work and do whatever it takes to make guests feel comfortable! We were reminded of three ladies who mainly work in the big restaurant: Gabriela, Valentina and Sylvia. Very communicative, in several European languages, always welcoming and attentive to what is happening in the restaurant, including to come to the little ones... whims of guests (families with children, for example). As a conclusion, Mythos is a destination we will return to next year (already booked!). Crete is a big island with many places to visit and we only managed to see part of it this year. So next year our base will still be at Mythos. By the way, also worth noting is the very functional public transport system that covers the whole island. It works!

With full confidence we would like to recommend Mythos Palace Resort&Spa as an excellent choice of a hotel that meets the requirements for a successful holiday for people who follow the requirements similar to ours. We are elderly people and when choosing a hotel, we obviously pay attention to the hotel's quality, location, comfort, peace, professionalism of service and a friendly atmosphere When we came here for the first time, we were impressed by the friendly attitude towards guests from the reception stuff, they greeted us with a smile and ask if we are tired after traveling and willing to help us in any matter, so we immediately we felt well-liked and expected persons. Such friendly and at the same time full of respectful behavior the whole hotel crew and manager we experienced during all the days we spent at this hotel. We appreciate Mythos Palace for its beautiful surroundings, for a convenient place for excursions to explore the charms of Crete, for the amenities that we have here and for the nice atmosphere that gives comfortable relaxation. As we came again in 2023 and we stayed at the Mythos PalaceResort & Spa next time at the same room this is probably the best proof that this is the proper hotel that meets our criteria. The rooms are very well equipped, comfortable and clean, and the whole crew takes care of the cleanliness of the rooms, pools and garden doing their job carefully. The meals served in the hotel restaurant are in a large selection, there are delicious meat and vegetarian dishes, there is also an unusual buffet stocked with Cretan specialties. The chef is a true professional, he is very kind and open to the special needs of the guests. The hotel has its own beautiful, sandy, very well-maintained beach with enough sun beds for all guests, there are beach bar and restaurant which are very convenient for sunbathers. We really like the large terrace by the lobby, from which there is a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and plants. One can spend time here with an evening drink from the bar serving a large selection of excellent drinks, as well as listen to live music. The very special event for us was a great concert of two excellent jazz musicians. Many thanks are to the Hotel Manager who had the opportunity to invite such great artists. We could list many more reasons why the Mythos Palace Resort & Spa is great and worth recommending, but we hope, that the ones we have described are sufficient. Maria and Jan, Poland

Exceptionally family-friendly hotel that ticks every box without a single flaw. Great facilities, super friendly staff and delicious food from morning to night. Entertainment, beach and pool 10/10! We will be back!!

The hotel was amazing. The strongest points were the staff and the attention to details (rooms, bathrooms, restaurant). It felt very relaxing for us that the resort is a little bit smaller than others were we went in the past and has a very good organization: no "fighting" for a sunbed, even at 11 o'clock, no rush at the restaurant. The beach is very nice, sandy and has an easy sea acces. Some of the drinks are quality products for an all inclusive offer. Like a suggestion, but not a bad review, maybe more variety (especially at lunch) of the meals will raise the food services at the same level with the other services that the hotel has.

From the moment we arrived we have treated with nothing but kindness. Beautiful clean hotel with amazing hardworking staff. The pool area is very clean and we had no issues getting a sun bed any time of the day. We upgraded to a swim up room 119 which was definitely worth doing.Special thanks to Christina and Nikos from the lobby bar exceptional service, always served us with a smile and a few giggles along the way. Would love to come back 😍

This hotel is beautiful! Perfect interior, excellent service. We were with small kid and we feel really welcome there. Food was great, many regional things to try, nice atmosphere! Swimming pool could be bigger, very close to the beach, a “town” Nearby, so we spend a quality time there.
