Surya Heritage Hotels

This Hotel has a super friendly reception desk. The charming ladies are unusually helpful and very attentive. We appreciated that a lot. Another strong point in favor of the Hotel is the nice garden. You can enjoy a cool Kingfisher beer there, but unfortunately not everyday. On certain days they are not allowed to serve alcohol. There is a restaurant inside, but we found it more enjoyable to eat outdoors. Service is quick and the food we had was ok but nothing special. Our room was clean and big enough. Since the Hotel has been refurbished recently, everything was in excellent condition - we particularly liked the well kept woodwork. We will keep a fond memory of the Surya Heritage Hotel and it’s friendly personnel.

Just a great place to stay! Was opened about 2 years ago and all is renovated in perfect ***ner. Rooms are spotless clean and all amenities available. Special thanks to to Mr. Bevin (housekeeper ***ager) who is a great lover of Switzerland. He showed us videos from 🇨🇭We didn’t even a clue about. Also ***y thanks to the ***ager who was just great and organized us a taxi trip to Kunnoth for a reasonable price. Also the food was very good -the curries just as we like it - not to spicy - but also not for “Indian beginners”. For our next Kannur stay is’s decided: we will stay at your place. Thanks for everything and we had a great stay!

I had travelled with my family, including my Amma who is a senior citizen. The resort is located in the heart of the city but away from the hustle of city life. The property belongs to a well known family and they have taken care to maintain the aesthetics value of each section of the property. Rooms are cozy, traditional keralam feel. The breakfast is limited however, freshly cooked. The menu for the day is filled with mouth watering Malabar cuisine and from other parts of India. The service is top class, with the personnel totally committed to looking after your needs. Even the guests/ friends of the guests are made to feel at home. Value for money.

This hotel is historic and beautiful, with beautiful original wood everywhere… Staff were very friendly and helpful… It was my first time in Kannur, and Ajit would insist that my Tuk Tuk drivers call him for any assistance… The food is also fantastic, and I hope to stay here again.

Our family an excelllent experience @Surya heritage. It gave us the touch of traditional and authentic homely stay. Food was excellent and liked by all of us. In total we all had wonderful experience and would prefer to stay whenever we visit kannur.

120 year old ancestral house converted into what I’ll call it a boutique hotel . . It’s very exclusive with just 8 rooms , we booked 2 rooms the Royal Heritage n Heritage Grande for 4 nights n 7 nights respectively. . The whole property has retained the old charm of house with modern facilities . . Wooden ceilings , windows , doors and an incredible warm n welcoming energy . . Now the real gems of this place Chef Bhasha , I can openly claim it’s one of the best Kerala cuisine I’ve eaten in life . . He’s so passionate about his cooking n wanting to take you on a culinary journey of Kerala Deepu n Reji who have served us with love n warmth . . And the ***agers n general ***ager Ajith n Kurien are always there from morning till night ensuring we are having a comfortable stay z . Luckily for us they both have worked with Marriott Bonvoy and I was glad to flash our Titanium Elite status . . . It’s a very bespoke service , everything is catered to your liking n moods n that’s the USP of this property , it wud be a shame to call them 4 star . . I visit Kerala regularly , it’s where my roots are n I can bold claim that this is one of the best stays in Mahe - Kannur belt . . Now I can visit Kerala often as I found a new home . .

This one here is the best in Kannur with the most luxurious beds and rich wood finishings. Very minimal which I love but has everything it should. It felt a little weird bc of warm low lightning but we got used to that. And surprisingly very good food ( based on our dine in at the other local restaurants which are supposed to be good, but very disappointed with them)at a very cheap price. The staffs were very courteous and always took that extra step to make our stay was more memorable. They served us breakfast and dinner even we got late which generally doesn't happen with most other hotels. They did not rush us at all with check out or the breakfast. This is what I like the most. Ajith and team way to go guys.
