"This is a very out of the way location, an oasis in an otherwise very crowded area, a real escape from the hustle and bustle, it is difficult to get to but well worth the effort. The accommodation was excellent, large, expansive, modern and comfortable with a view onto some pasture and native vegetation, the bird life and other fauna were very entertaining. There was an amazing display of fire flies in a tree right out side the balcony one evening which was just magic!!! The pool was very clean, and great for a swim each morning. There was a gym and billiard table as well. The gated community was very safe and private, with wide spaces and plenty of room around the free standing units. Operating more like an AirBnB, there was no 'front desk', but the onsite support was amazing, only a phone call away, delivering breakfast with such care and attention, I felt like a queen. Super friendly and helpful. Loved this place!"

The Wi Fi was clearly stated in the booking and this was later provided as well as a remote when challenged about this. Room was modern and spacious, bed was comfortable with good quality linen. No fridge or kettle in the room. Room was off a well furnished common room and could potentially be a problem if other guests stay and are a little too loud, if you are an early to bed type."

"Jetwing Kandy – Absolutely Flawless! I’ve just stayed at Jetwing Kandy, (unfortunately just for 1 night) and I have to say, this is hands down the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at so far. From the moment you arrive, the experience is nothing short of spectacular. The welcome ceremony sets the tone perfectly, making you feel truly special. The service is incredible—I was even given a mobile phone with my own private butler, which made everything effortless. The staff are attentive without being intrusive, and there is literally nothing you could wish for that they wouldn’t provide. The views are absolutely stunning, whether from the immaculate, modern rooms or while enjoying the hotel’s amenities. Each room comes with a coffee machine and the most beautiful view, making mornings unforgettable. Food here is another highlight. The à la carte breakfast is divine, and the complementary afternoon hors d’oeuvres and evening drink service are delightful touches that elevate the stay. Every meal I had was amazing, with flavors and presentation that exceeded expectations. The hotel is located about 20min from Kandy town. It is quite secluded but perfect it you are after tranquillity. You can simply relax, have a massage, swim in the infinity pool. Bliss! I could not fault this hotel one bit—from the design and cleanliness of the rooms to the impeccable service and breathtaking scenery. Jetwing Kandy is truly a five-star experience in every sense. If you’re looking for perfection, this is it."

Our group explored Kandy during the morning and returned in the afternoon for a much-needed swim. Nihal, the delightful barman, brought us refreshing cocktails poolside to help us cool down. While we were there, we had the most amazing breakfasts and dinners made by Indika, the master chef, and his team. All 6 of us agreed - the meals we had here were hands down, the best meals we had in Sri Lanka!"

"Had a pleasant stay here. NB it’s 20-30 min ride outside of Kandy and you will need to ask the accommodation to arrange transport for you going from there as PickMe doesn’t work. However it’s got great views and is far from the crowded, polluted streets of Kandy. It’s up quite a steep hillside. Possible for a tuktuk but if several passengers a car would be better. The accommodation is simple but good value for money. Food was nice apart from one dinner of beef curry - cook used meat that needed slower cooking so it was fatty and tough. However sauce and rice were very tasty. Breakfast was plentiful and good with a choice of Sri Lankan or English."

"Good location, but disappointing dining service and poor complaint handling The hotel is in a good location, but the facilities are fairly average. The room also had an unpleasant odor, which affected the overall stay. What disappointed me most was the restaurant service. I ordered a cup of black tea and had to remind the staff at least three times before it finally arrived. First, they brought an empty cup. After asking two more times, the tea finally came. The restaurant was not particularly busy, yet the staff seemed more focused on clearing plates than serving drinks. Since tea and coffee are not self-service and must be brought by the staff, the slow service was especially frustrating. My biggest issue, however, was with the restaurant billing. At dinner, I ordered a 1-litre bottle of mineral water, which was listed at LKR 500. When it was time to pay, I noticed the bill showed a 625ml branded bottled water instead, priced at LKR 850. After service charge and taxes, it came to over LKR 1,100. The price itself was not the main issue. The real problem was how this was handled. When I asked for an explanation, I was told that the mineral water I had ordered was out of stock. If that was the case, the staff should have informed me in advance and given me the option to either cancel the order or accept a replacement. Instead, the substitution was made without any notice, leaving it to the customer to discover the difference only when checking the bill. I always review my bills carefully, but if I had not done so, I likely would never have noticed. I raised this issue with the lobby manager, but it was handled very unprofessionally. There was not even a proper apology. For a hotel ranked No. 1 among Trip.com’s 4-star premium hotels, this was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel, mainly because of the room odor and the concern that customers may be misled in the restaurant. The front desk staff were acceptable, but the way the complaint was handled was far below what I would expect from a top-ranked premium hotel. This experience seriously made me question how this hotel achieved such a high ranking. I hope this was only an isolated case, but I also think Trip.com should review the credibility of this listing. Lastly, I want to say that I still trust and support Trip.com, which is exactly why I am sharing this experience — so that other travelers can be more cautious and hopefully avoid the same disappointment."
