Had a really good time with my family , the stuff were very friendly and polite , the hotel is not far from historic centre , variety of options for breakfast . highly recommended

Hotel was absolutely amazing. There but only 1 problem it is little far from tramway.

Although I made the booking just half an hour before checking in, the room was ready, and the receptionist was kind and helpful. I had to wait only 10 minutes upon arrival to receive the room key. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean, and quiet. I highly recommend this hotel.

rarely write negative reviews, but unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was far below expectations. The hotel furniture looks extremely outdated, like something from the 1970s. The bathroom lacked basic essentials – we ran out of toilet paper, and despite calling reception, no one brought any for half a day. Only after a second call late in the evening did someone finally bring us a single roll, which felt quite pathetic for a hotel claiming 5-star service. The pool is small and always overcrowded, making it almost unusable. Breakfast ends sharply at 10:30 AM, and they literally unplug the coffee machine at that time, even if guests are still eating. The hotel location is misleading in the description – it’s not a short walk to Blue Mosque or Hagia Sophia as advertised. It takes at least 20 minutes by taxi. The worst experience was with the hotel-arranged taxi for our airport transfer. I wanted to order an Uber Comfort with air conditioning, but the hotel staff convinced us to take their taxi instead… I specifically confirmed with the reception that I could pay by card, as I don’t carry cash. What arrived was an old, run-down car with no air conditioning, on a 32°C day. The driver smoked during the ride despite me mentioning my asthma, and took non-toll roads, turning what should be a 45-minute trip into a 2.5-hour nightmare. Upon arrival at the airport, we were told that card payment wasn’t possible unless we had a Turkish card, and were pressured to go find a cash machine at the airport. This felt like an obvious scam – organized between the hotel and the driver. I had no choice but to pay extra for a fast track service (£46) just to make our flight on time. Additionally, I lost access to a pre-booked lounge as a result. Overall, the service level is unacceptable for what’s marketed as a 5-star hotel. In reality, it barely meets the standards of a 3-star European hotel. I would not recommend this property and suggest future guests be cautious.

Akgun Hotel is one of the best hotels I’ve ever experienced—extremely clean and beautiful, with friendly, polite, and helpful staff. Whenever the slightest issue arose or we needed anything, they would come right away, assist us, and fulfill our request. The breakfast is very complete, varied, and excellent. I truly recommend this hotel to everyone to experience. Thanks to the excellent management and all the hardworking, courteous staff at Akgun Hotel.

Overall Hotel was great. However the TV should have more channels especially when it comes to watching English News.  Also the Sky Restaurant should honor their hours. I went there at 1am, the waiter said no more phone or hookah. When it closes at 2am.  Besides that , it was a excellent hotel, I will come there again on my next trip 

A couple of early hiccups but once brought to the attention of the reception all sorted and very accommodating.

Very good location of the hotel. Every public transport is nearby. Also the service was excellent. Breakfast was nice. Special shout-out to the old laundry lady. I gave some clothes for washing and also money. After washing she returned some money because it was smaller clothes. Thank you

Great hotel, and all facilities were top-notch. All the staff were very helpful.

Disappointed as the swimming pool is close and doesn’t open until summer. The Gym is to book !!!! If some one booked a hotel for a week with kids like I have 9 years soon will be really disappointed. If I knew I would not book such a hotel

The people are amazing. Very helpful and polite. But some of them are not quite friendly. Maybe because they don’t like me, but in general my experience is good with them. However, I will not consider this hotel again as residential for me.

A good sized and reasonably maintained hotel. Very close to Underground Metro station, and 15 min walk to the nearest Tram station. Bus stop is just 50m away from the hotel. These transport options makes it a great location to access the tourist centre of Istanbul. Breakfast was varied daily and staff are friendly. Rooms and floor decor could do better with a bit of revamp, but I it still is in very good condition, just feels out of fashion. I will certainly choose it to stay again if I ever visited the city.

I recently stayed at [Hotel Name], and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm welcome and attention to detail. The location was little off but in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. My room was spacious, with a breathtaking view of the city, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job keeping everything spotless. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals, and I particularly loved the breakfast buffet with a wide variety of fresh options. Thank you
