The hotel was excellent with beautiful views in a calm area. The food was very delicious aspiring for a Michelin star. Everything worked out perfectly, and the staff did their very best.

When we first turned up, we thought this was a fairly standard hotel. But the more we used its facilities, the more we saw it was well designed, with excellent facilities. There are superb views over the river Guadiana and Portugal, from all the bars and restaurants and most if not all rooms. The staff were very friendly. We had an evening meal in a fairly empty restaurant- no idea this should be, the food was excellent, one of the best meals I’ve had in a Parador.

Very clean, but room walls very thin and with a family next door it was very noisy. This ruined our stay somewhat as we were woken by crying and the noise of child's tantrum.
Food very good, if not a little over priced.
Swimming pool was a welcome facility.
Tea making facilities in room would be expected in four star hotel.
Staff friendly and helpful. Lay out of hotel in general was a little confused, more signage for pool etc would be helpful.

Except for the weekends (when chairs are taken away next to your door, by other people), the area is very quiet to stay. The swimming pool is already cold in September. The service in the garden is mostly followed up well. The light in the garden is heavy and invite moustiques.

4 star location but needing upgrading in some areas. Decor in the bedroom needs upgrading and the shutters were very noisy in the wind! Food in the restaurant was very good. It was not as far t walk into Ayamonte as we thought. Plenty of places to visit nearby

Called by for a drink and to admire the views. I asked for a drinks menu and was told there wasn't one....?? When we got the bill, I could tell why.... gin & tonic = 12€!! A beer - 6€!! Crazy prices.... we will NOT be returning.... the rear garden needs some serious attention....
