This hotel is centrally located, and is within walking distance to sights and restaurants that Ioannina has to offer. Don’t let the historic Art Deco exterior fool you into thinking the hotel is outdated. It is very modern inside, with a modest cafe/dining area. The rooms are spotless and very well maintained. Bonus: the staff are very helpful and super- friendly, and very accommodating ( Yassas Vasilis! We miss your welcoming morning greetings!); the continental breakfasts are very generous! They even cook custom order eggs any style, and the coffee is excellent! I strongly recommend this hotel. We could not be anymore fortunate to have found this place. Will definitely stay here again on a future visit.

We come to Ioannina every year and have stayed at many places. This time, a shorter duration we wanted to stay near old town area near the bars, shops and activity so we chose Metropolis and SO GLAD we did. Incredible hotel nicely designed rooms, amazing breakfast and incredibly polite staff from check in to breakfast to just everything. Also see pics. Rich history here and refurbishment done in good taste. We absolutely will be back!

My parents and I just returned from a last minute mini trip in Ioannina and all I have to say is that we loved our stay at Metropolis Hotel! Great rooms - beautifully decorated - very very clean - spacious enough - comfortable large beds with good quality of mattress! We also loved the delicious breakfast, moreover the hospitality of staff and hosts! The location is also perfect ( walking distance from all famous restaurants / cafe / shops ). 2 min walk you can also find a private parking where with a small amount of euro you can easily park your private car ! Thank you Metropolis team, we hope to see you again in the near future!

Excellent accommodation experience, short walking distance from Ioannina old town and lake. I stayed in a cozy and sound proof room on 1st floor with small balcony and nice view. Parking space was booked in less than 50 m distance. Breakfast was great too. Hotel staff was very professional and pleasant.

The staff of Metropolis were very welcoming and polite. They made you feel at home. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The Hotel is found in a very central and convenient location, making it a perfect spot to spend a few days away in a quiet yet lovely place. #Ioannina

Metropolis hotel was overbooked, so they gave us apartment in Kamares Boutique hotel with no extra charge. We received a message from Kamares with guidance how to reach the hotel. Nearby was hotel’s free parking. The hotel was ancient greek house and we felt like in fairy tale. Beautiful, clean, well kept. The staff was friendly, kind and helpful. Recommend!

Very centrally located hotel with great service and excellent breakfast. Free hotel parking nearby - a little hard to find at first. Bed a bit small, and street noise if windows are opened. Otherwise all together a nice experience.

It was great!! They couldn’t do enough for us. The service was beyond exceptional. Breakfast was good, any kind of egg or coffee you wanted, along with the yogurt and breads. Found us a wonderful tour man. Told us how we could spend our time. Would certainly recommend this hotel

We loved Ioannina !! Stayed only for I night and chose the Hotel Metropolis which turned out to be a very good and convenient choice. We could easily walk to the Lake , the Castle and all the restaurants of the old town. I have deep respect and admiration for those who choose to restore an old building into something beautiful again. This giving of a new lease of life is so inspiring and in most of the cases it takes alot of effort, work and money to accomplish. The grandfather of the present owner opened the hotel and the present owner, rebuilt the interior almost from scratch while keeping the classical facade. Quite a task!! The result is commendable. The rooms and bathrooms are comfortable, clean and the decor is modern and tasteful. Although on a main street, when the windows were closed and the AC was on, there was no noise disturbance. My only problem was the mattress. Although the hotel has Cocomat mattresses, which are amazing usually....and this was one of the reasons I chose the hotel.....my one was in definite need of change! The breakfast, served at the table due to Covid, was exceptional. Everything very fresh and good quality.
