"I recently stayed at this hotel and found the overall experience to be mixed. The room itself was decent, and the staff were accommodating and polite whenever I interacted with them. However, there were several issues that made the stay less comfortable. First, the shower area does not have a glass door or divider, which causes water to flood into the bathroom and reach the sink area every time you shower. It’s inconvenient and makes the bathroom messy and slippery. Second, while the room has a cabinet, there were no hangers provided at all, which was surprising. The location is greta though, few meters walk to starbucks and some good restaurants. The biggest disappointment was the housekeeping service. I had to ask the front desk twice around 1:00 PM to have my room cleaned. When I returned an hour later, the room was still not done. Overall, while the staff are friendly and the room is okay for a short stay, the lack of attention to detail and the slow service are things the hotel definitely needs to improve."

"I love the cleanliness and how they made everything white. The tiles used on the flooring (room, bathroom) are easy to clean using a rag when wet. I also enjoyed my lunch at Mandala Restaurant (offers mediterrenean food like Chicken/Beef/Shrimp Biryani and Filipino food) located on the ground floor. I also had a good refreshing drink in the morning at Highlands Coffee (24hours open) which is just 5 mins away from the hotel. Beside it is Lawson Convenience Store."

"Richmonde Hotel Ortigas is a well-aged hotel that has clearly stood the test of time. I originally booked a Standard Room via Trip.com and decided to pay extra to upgrade to a Junior Suite upon arrival. It was absolutely worth it. One of the experienced staff recommended a room with an excellent view, and the scenery did not disappoint. The bed is very comfortable, perfect for a good night’s rest. The pillows, however, are on the softer side; I personally stacked three pillows to achieve better neck support. The air-conditioning is very powerful—almost freezing at times. I wasn’t entirely sure how to adjust it, and it seems to be set in Fahrenheit, but it works extremely well for those who enjoy a cold room. All the room lighting works as intended. The lights are on the warm, dim (orange) side, which seems intentionally designed to match the hotel’s classic and cozy ambience. It gives the room a calm, relaxing feel, especially at night. One small suggestion would be to provide additional plastic trash bags in the room and bathroom. I use food delivery services quite frequently during my stay and prefer to clear waste daily for cleanliness. The Junior Suite comes with a larger Smart TV, which was a pleasant surprise. You can easily log in to your own Netflix account—watching shows in bed felt like having a mini private cinema in the room. Extremely comfortable and enjoyable. The gym is a big plus—open from 6am to 9pm and almost always empty. It honestly felt like I had the entire gym to myself, which made workouts very pleasant. The swimming pool is currently closed for renovation, which is understandable. While the room is generally clean and comfortable, it could benefit from renovation and deeper cleaning. The wooden doors, curtains, desks, and drawers are showing their age and would greatly improve the overall experience if refreshed. That said, for a hotel that is over 25 years old, it has aged remarkably well. The location is excellent—one of the best aspects of this hotel. There are plenty of food and convenience options nearby, including 7-Eleven, Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks, Pancake House, and more. SM Megamall is just a short walk away, making shopping, dining, and commuting extremely convenient. Most importantly, the service from the staff is outstanding. There are warm greetings everywhere you go, and the staff are consistently polite, professional, and helpful. Their hospitality truly enhances the overall stay and makes guests feel welcomed. I will be trying their breakfast buffet soon and will update my review afterward to share whether it exceeds expectations. Overall, Richmonde Hotel Ortigas offers great value, comfort, excellent service, and an unbeatable location. I would gladly recommend it to travelers who appreciate classic charm paired with genuine Filipino hospitality."

In a large metro, great service makes all the difference, and the team here is absolutely the highlight of the stay. The Rooms are surprisingly spacious, especially compared to newer, smaller budget studios. Many units come equipped with a small kitchenette (refrigerator, electric kettle, microwave in some), a comfortable desk for working, and good air conditioning. It’s a clean, safe, and functional space that is easy to call home for a few days or weeks. Areas for Improvement (Why It's a 7/10) The main drawback lies in the execution of the property's facilities and basic comforts, which occasionally feel a little dated or incomplete. * Facility Consistency: While some units might offer a full suite of amenities, the overall facilities rating tends to lag. Simple things like having a reliable, high-speed Wi-Fi connection that never drops, or ensuring basic bathroom items (like a foot rug or consistent soap refills) are always present, are areas where the residence can be hit or miss. * Accessibility Check: For those traveling with a lot of luggage, prepare to handle it yourself. There’s a noticeable lack of luggage ramps or a dedicated doorman to assist upon arrival, which can be a hassle, especially on check-in day. * Evening Access: While the gated community setting is safe, the convenience gates nearest popular dining spots reportedly close around 10 PM. This means if you are out late, you might have a longer walk back through the main gate, which can be inconvenient. Verdict: If your priorities are location, safety, and having a good, functional space with excellent staff—and you're willing to overlook some minor facility and logistics kinks—The Studio 18 Residences is a smart and affordable choice. We did not end up cooking, but knowing we could added flexibility to the stay. Small details were done right. The hot and cold controls for the shower, bathtub, and sink worked perfectly. No guessing. No sudden temperature shifts. Just consistent comfort. Breakfast was another highlight. Plenty of meat options, which I appreciated. A solid spread that felt satisfying and complete.
