"This is by a long way the best hotel I have stayed in , in Tibet. Love the ”Manor” feel, at the same time homely.
The rose garden which decorates Lakari cafe ia a lovely place to eat, relax, wind down. Food & service excellent. There are in addition two other restaurant on site, serving authentic Chinese & Tibetian food, yum. DURING a qord in the garden, I notice birds churping and hunting worms on the lawn !
Rooms takes on a modern Tibetian style, everything works & impeccably clean.
Staff are v warm, helpful, even helped w my washing, offered to show me around on her day off.
A most enjoyable stay. Tops all otherss I have stayed in Tibet."

環境、設施、服務、位置都很棒～～睜眼就能看見藍天白雲，客棧裏有各個餐館的菜單，可以直接送到客棧，還可以**餓了麼，送達在二樓花園吃。客房乾淨整潔，包括公區都很乾凈。客棧有電梯，辦完入住老闆還是會幫忙把行李送到房間，離文成公主看演出步行5分鐘，去布達拉宮開車10分鐘，推薦！推薦！

Chúng tôi cố tình chọn khách sạn này cho đêm đầu tiên vì có phòng khám bên trong khách sạn, tạo cảm giác an tâm khi hạ cánh. Khách sạn rộng lớn với thiết kế tuyệt vời. Tôi rất thích sự chào đón nồng nhiệt từ nhân viên và đánh giá cao sự kiên nhẫn cũng như lời nhắc nhở của họ về việc đi chậm để giảm thiểu chứng say độ cao.
Phòng cực kỳ rộng rãi. Nhân viên rất nhiệt tình lái xe và dẫn chúng tôi đến phòng. Họ hướng dẫn cách sử dụng tất cả các thiết bị và giúp chúng tôi mang hành lý nặng. Phòng có đầy đủ mọi thứ bạn cần. Chắc chắn là nơi hoàn hảo để nghỉ đêm đầu tiên sau một hành trình dài đầy thử thách.
Bữa sáng ngon tuyệt. Bạn có thể nạp năng lượng và bù nước với tất cả những món ăn bạn có thể nghĩ đến cho bữa sáng. Cả món Trung Quốc, món Ý và món phương Tây. Rất đáng khen và tôi highly recommend.

第一次發自內心的想寫評價，本次旅行是帶長者和孩子，從到酒店的那一刻起就感受到了拉薩的熱情❤️我們入住的房型非常棒美中不足是沒有電梯，要辛苦保安小哥哥幫忙送大箱子上去，由於剛剛進藏大家都有些高反我們的背包也要辛苦他們送，前台小姐姐也是超級優秀，主打一個有求必應，還有酒店的特色文化超市也很棒，小姐姐一直有耐心的陪我挑選，從早到晚衹要有需要他們隨時在！！！現在年輕人能有他們這樣的工作熱情和工作態度真的很值得誇讚，哈哈哈哈希望老闆看見評論給他們加雞腿呦🍗全能的保安小哥哥真是六邊形戰士哪哪都有他的身影！

Chúng ta không sợ không biết hàng mà sợ so sánh hàng. Không có hại gì nếu không có sự tương phản. Ở tại một khách sạn khác ở Lhasa một ngày trước khi nhận phòng. Du khách nói, đừng thay đổi khách sạn, điều đó sẽ giúp bạn tránh được rất nhiều rắc rối. Nhưng tôi nhất quyết thay đổi, nói với họ rằng việc trải nghiệm những khách sạn khác nhau là một phần của chuyến du lịch. Hóa ra nó đáng giá nếu bạn thực hiện chuyển đổi phù hợp. Hai khách sạn ngang nhau về giá nhưng Snowy Paradise rõ ràng tốt hơn khách sạn trước rất nhiều về cơ sở vật chất, dịch vụ, view và bữa sáng!

I have to give 1 star service for this hotel. This hotel should put having a local phone number is a requirement for check-in.
They don't have experienced of handling non local guests.
Front desk staff said they can't let me stay, because I doynt have a local phone number. They will assist me to cancel and refund. She said it so lightly, doesn't really care if I had long day, if I'll be able to find other place to stay.
However, when I show her my booking from trip.com (in English), asking how can I cancel this? It's after 6pm. She said she doesn't know how to read English.
I told her that the other place allow me to leave HK number as my contact number, and I can receive phone call, why can't I do that here?
She was about to call my HK number, but then she can't find + dial? Then she said she doesn't know how to call non local number. She said maybe need to register for international call? Strange, cause Didi driver call me on my HK number all the time.
It was late, no point argue-ing and I don't feel like searching for another hotel, I don't have any options. I gave a local number, told her it's a friend's number; and she let us stay.

We stayed at the Shangri-la after a week of being in Tibet. It was a nice change from the more Chinese style hotels we had stayed in and was ideal for the night before our flight out. The rooms are great and we booked one with a bath. The shower was very powerful and hot. The breakfast buffet was, by Chinese standards, decent for western options and the evening buffer was good for approx 200rmb/person if you're in need of more western options.
The big plus for me was the gym. Decent by most hotel standards and had a good mix of resistance machines, cardio and free weights (mainly dumbbells of up to 20kg plus a pair of 27.5kg). The only thing missing from the gym really is a squat rack but otherwise very good. Would stay again.

The hotel isn't to far from the Portola Palace (a short taxi trip). I wouldn't say its a true 4 star hotel.
The room was a good size, quiet and didn't smell of cigarette smoke. The room was a little worn out; I couldn't get the TV to work, the mirror on the wet bar area was cracked, there were marks to the walls where paintings/pictures had once been. Most annoying was the shower cubicle and the shower over the bath had only cold water! On my last morning the power was off in my area of the hotel and the lift was not working due to the power outage.
The hotel staff do not speak English, but one lady working on reception was especially nice and helpful and we were able to communicate by using the translation app.
There are lots of restaurants near by, but next time I think I'd prefer to stay closer to the Portola Palace.
