Munamar Beach Residence

After being moved from one hotel, because it was shutting down that day to this hotel, we hoped it would be better - oh boy, we were disappointed. The food is awful, bland, and Luke warm, and I hope you like Brussels sprouts because they are practically every meal. The "all inclusive" is beer, gin, white or red wine, gin, whisky, or vodka and shuts at 10pm. They turn the lights off in the dining area at 11pm regardless if people are sitting there or not. There is a bar that stays open until midnight, over the road - where the animation team are. Well I say animation team, 1 game of water polo in the week and one girl trying to do a mini disco - that was one song and that was it. Don't stay on the 4th floor if you have mobility issues - the lift only goes to floor three. Along with other issues not written here as they are too many to mention, it all added up to a horrible holiday experience. Dont go to this hotel. Save your money and go elsewhere, trust me, you won't regret it.

Our first impression of this hotel was far from WOW, 4 star all inclusive, far from it. On arrival we had hit a national holiday in Turkey and 90% of the guests were Turkish (nothing against other cultures but we like to meet fellow brits). The most negative point is the food. We found out very soon and opted to eat out the majority of the holiday. NO butter for bread until day 7, breakfast very continental but not even a toaster to make us brits a simple brekkie of beans and egg on toast. So please travel with an open mind about food and be prepared to eat out. Now onto the positive points. Clean, all sociable areas cleaned and kept clean all day every day Rooms cleaned daily Glasses and ashtrays taken away and cleaned regularly. Staff all friendly and pleasant. We was on ground floor and had a few ants in the room, reported and the room cleaned and fumigated within 30 minutes The pool area is clean, simple pool, deep for adults and across the road is the kids pool with a slide, this was cleaned every night Not a huge choice on alcohol but we drink vodka, wine and beer so we was alright. Location is central but it is not on the beach front it is a ten minute walk. We met some fab people which made our holiday and even though I wouldn’t return to this hotel we experienced being in the centre of a resort which is what we will be looking for again. Please don’t expect a 4*, I wouldn’t even say a 3* in the food department. 10 out of 10 for staff and cleanliness

After several holidays this year we had a small budget & took a risk booking this place based on the previous reviews but i am sooooo glad we did why? Pros: location literally steps from the beach, restaurants, bars, shops everything you need. Icmeler is also calmer, cheaper & more beautiful than Marmaris so i am super happy we stayed here. Lobby & pool area are nice, the rooms are spacious & clean. Nice part of the beach with free loungers. Fridge in room good ac good sea views. Prices at the bar are reasonable. Promenade all the way to the harbour in Marmaris beautiful walk. Beach towels free everyday & rooms cleaned with fresh towels/linen daily Cons: wifi is shocking but again it was a nice break from my phone and better wifi in lots of neighbouring bars, beach clubs etc. seems like it has had 1/2 a refurb! The carpets, hallways and rooms dont really match up with the lobby & pool area. Curtains don’t quite cover the window. Cleaners come to early. No need to go all inclusive that would be a crazy idea as you would miss all the beautiful restaurants along the beach etc. breakfast was Turkish it was enough, fruit, salad, eggs, toast, beans etc but if you want the works pop to the 1st beach bar behind the pool area or somewhere else. Recommend: the waterfall restaurant, the taj mahal, icon beach club, vamos, dedes, big chef, the turkish bath opposite the hotel, the buggy excursion, the lazy day boat trip, palace beach club, turnuc beach and many more things in the area Would i return for under £500 yes

Think twice about booking the "all inclusive hotel".. because it is not as you would expect!. Drinks are limited, No cocktails, flat mixers and beer is effes on draft! All bottles are chargeable and you really are limited.. nothing if you are diabetic... The service is very hot and miss and if they think you are drinking too much limit it to two drinks!! Absolutely shocking. There is no snacks, no ice cream for the kids in fact nothing really for the kids. The food is very much same day same food!! After 6 days we ate out so please be prepared to spend more money!. Rooms are basic, there are three blocks and a sister hotel which closed while we were in it ( sept 17th) moved to main block!. Unless your an early riser you won't get a sunbed as they are all gone by 8 ISH... The WiFi is very hit and miss, just like the staff and everything else in this hotel. This hotel is more appropriate for guests who are not English as you won't be understood ( unless) tipping. The attitude is just shaking heads. If you booked with on the beach or any other of there group do not expect any communication as they do not reply!. Honestly if I'd read the reviews this would not have been my choice.. Save your money and book else where.. The best and only decent part of this stay is the girls who serve you in the bar and the weather! Enjoy turkey just not this hotel and it's sister hotels.

Good Air con in the room was brilliant. Shower was to die for! TV showing sky news. Nice balcony. Good storage in room. Kids club Clean communal areas. Chill bar attached is awesome. Nice bar staff and great place to hang out and play pool, watch sports etc. need to pay for drinks but I’d rather do that than get for free in plastic tumblers in the hotel. Great location. Near to beach. Although the hotel does not have a private beach, you can use private breach as long as you buy a drink from the bars and these are comfortable. Bad Rooms dirty as cleaners don’t do much inside. They just make the bed. Change bedsheets and twice in 10 days. Towels changed twice in ten days Couldn’t get two an extra sheet and towel for three days of trying Staff not friendly and standoffish. Drinks are very stingy in size and strength. Any mixer or soft drink is generally flat. Trying to sell excursions two times plus more than the sellers elsewhere. Very uncomfortable outside steering area that is not enjoyable to sit and drink Neutral Food - it’s ok. After five days we started to eat out not because the food was bad, but because it was canteen food. Rushed environment which meant it was nothing like having a nice meal out. Busy pools all had sun beds gone by 8am. Not enough of them. Pools were small Bar staff had no pride in their job. Such a hassle to get cold , fizzy drinks. Only able to get two drinks at the bar per person.
