Ali Baba Palace -Families and Couples Only-

Writing this on my last day and i will be sad to leave. Booked this holiday quite last minute for some well needed sunshine. Room was a promo type and not a refurbished room. It was basic but did us as lets face it hardly any time is spent in your room. The bathroom did have limescale all over the taps but did not effect use. The grounds, pool and beach were beautifully kept. The staff go above and beyond. So friendly. Big shout out to Tony from the animation team. Always took the time to speak to me and my son and even managed to get us into the nightclub one night!!! Entertainment was good and varied at night. Lots going on around the pool in the day. The only thing i would change about this hotel is the food. Same food day in, day out. It got to the point i couldnt face eating. This would be the only factor putting me off returning. Also if you have young children, the restaurants dont cater for them. Although there was pizza and chips daily. We did two trips, both highly recommended. First to Orange Bay at a cost of £25 per adult. Then we did a day trip to pyramids in Cairo for £60 each. Its a long drive, around 22 hours round trip but amazing for all you see.

Immaculately clean in all areas. Food is plentiful and edible but needs to be different in the different restaurants. Ring tree restaurant and bella italia served the same dishes. Entertainment needs improvement.....singers not even managed get applaud from audience. Needs kareoke maybe nusic quiz....mr &mrs ali baba competition??? Animation team make this hotel theyre all fantastic!!!!!!!

Best animation team with so nice attitude, good music every where , well organised hotel with good service, we would like to come here always we really enjoyed it , the 40 thief’s disco every night on fire , hotel very secure and everyone inside very friendly and helpful, best regards for all

Ali baba palace. This amazing family hotel we choose by recommendation of our friends. We had a nice clean room , very delicious food and fruits and drinks, cool Aqua park, very green and beautiful territory of the hotel, amazing new kids club and very friendly animation team ( they have every day some program in the day time : Aqua gym, yoga, dance, darts) and in the evenings we was enjoy with the live music, shows and pool party. We will recommend this hotel too.

We are currently staying here. My niece and I have came for a week. Positive feedback Room was lovely and cleaner done a great job cleaning the room and keeping us hydrated by ensuring we always had water. He also was friendly and chatty. Facilities were good. There is a water park for children, pool, ice rink, bowling, shops, nightclub and day and evening entertainment. Negative feedback Staff are not friendly. Most of them (90%) are miserable and rude. They do work very hard but never once did any of the waiting staff acknowledge us when we went into a restaurant and we had to go and get all drinks by ourselves. Food choices are limited. The food was ok but it was always the same choices and the food was never very hot. All inclusive is not all inclusive and we found the bar staff to be especially rude. We left the hotel and asked the hotel to arrange a taxi to take us shopping . The man phoned for a taxi and they dropped us off at some man’s shop where they had arranged that we would be picked up at the same place at an agreed time. There were no other tourists around and at one point one of the shopkeepers followed us along the street to the bank. It was a very unsafe environment for 2 women on their own . We were assured it would be safe to go out of the hotel but I would not advise it. We were 2 women on holiday and I think we would have been treated completely different had we been with men. We watched as other guests were treated completely different to us. Overall experience There were not many British people at the hotel, mostly Russian, German and Dutch. We had no problem with that and found them to be friendly enough. We had a spa day and the treatment and therapists were amazing. The beach is beautiful and there is a bar and a place to eat. It is only a couple of minutes walk from our room so that’s a plus, however you are constantly harassed by people trying to sell you trips etc. The entertainment team are very good and work very long days. There is various activities on throughout the day but everything finishes at 10.30pm and then it is only the nightclub. We have enjoyed our stay overall but we have been on trips most days. Had we been at the hotel every day I don’t think we would have enjoyed the holiday as much. We have loved Egypt but everything is money related and they are waiting for a tip before they even serve you!! If I returned I would not come back to this hotel.

Our stay at the Alibaba Palace Hotel in Hurghada was perfect from start to finish. Between the captivating entertainment and the exquisite buffets, every moment was a pleasure. A special mention to Ahmed, whose kindness and dedication to servicing our room (4809) truly made our stay memorable.

Now, after visiting and staying in this hotel, I am constantly thinking about the part of the detective story by Agatha Christie/ Evil under the sun:-)... This is truly the worst hotel in Egypt. Planning/ Organizing/ Managing and Controlling= Alibaba Palace**:-). Clients drunk and aggressive Russians + noisy and messy Turks. Cleaning bad - food terrible recycled - small capacity and terrible level of sunbeds and umbrellas - staff burnt out and unwilling - digestive problems... No! Thank you, but I will die when I want :-)!

First time in this hotel. Holiday with family. Service could be better. Lux rooms are good. Animation is the best. Hotel is near the sea. Huge and nice aquapark. Big and nice teritory. Big and nice beach. Always possible to find sunbed near pool or beach

Pro: The most interesting and funny are the activities of the entertainment team. They are really fun and energetic people, making the stay a lot more pleasant. The garden is extremely nice, and well maintained. The beach is all right, clean. Rooms are very spacious, clean, and cleaning staff nice, but the sheets and furniture are kind of oldish. Cons: Unfortunately 90% of the staff is not smiling, some of them are very intrusive and always ask for tips. Food very repetitive for all the meals. Limited only to the hotel because it is kind of untrustworthy to go outside the hotel to walk by yourself, people waiting every step to sell you something or ask you to go on trips, and they are too persistent.
