Wifi was unstable at room, but OK at lobby. Others were good.

TERRIBLE Discovery in our Bed. Hotel staff Unconcerned. Jan 2024. We have stayed at this property many times over the past 3 years. During our last visit, 1/16/2024, I felt something scratching and poking my back while in bed. Imagine our shock finding, what appeared to be, a1 broken hypodermic needle in our bed linen. I called down to the front desk & was told someone would contact us in the morning (No big deal??) The next morning, Wed. 1/17, we were checking out & no one had contacted us. I again informed front desk, housekeeping1 mgr. & manager on duty. No shock or sorry. ..no big deal.."the people that handle this will be in touch" Night of 1/17, I received a call & was told sorry the people that handle these things will be in touch probably Friday or Monday. .. no rush...no big deal? It is now Tuesday night, and still no contact. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS! Both the incident and the way that it has been handled. We are furious, worried, and stressed about what I potentially have been exposed to, and think that others considering this property might want to be aware. UPDATE It is now 6/10/2024 I have still not been contacted by Hilton/Doubletree. I have called and left messages to contact me several times. Today I decided to call Hilton directly, not the property, thinking that Hilton Corporate just might be interested in how this incident has been handled. After going through several layers of prompts, I finally was speaking with a CSR, who stated they were going to transfer me to another department. After several minutes another CSR was on the phone who wanted to verify who I was. She requested name, telephone number, mailing address etc. (Which I had already provided) This time, the individual said that IS NOT the mailing address we have on file, so I proceeded to provide my prior 5 mailing addresses. I was then told that "I need to verify your mailing address we have on record or the last 4 digits of your credit card used for the booking" I explained that I didn't know which Credit Card was used 6 months ago. I offered my Hilton Honors number then the phone was disconnected.. . .imagine that. If this wasn't so serious, it would be amusing. PS. Also, be aware that property is under renovation and constant loud drilling & hammering all day. Don't plan on any work or phone calls during the day.

Never stay here! One of the worst hotels in Houston. Overpriced and doesn't deliver. Rooms are nice but not worth the price. Parking is the worst part and you get charged per night per vehicle. Parking lot is usually full after 10pm then you have to park at a different hotel that charges more per night.

Brittiany and Brianna are the best I highly recommend you stay at this location it's very convenient for medical patients..The Director of the front office is awesome he go above and beyond for both guest and staff, and don't forget the cookies!!

The parking situation is atrocious! You’re charged for parking yet there isn’t enough spaces in the parking lot. The staff said we just needed to go drive to the back side of the hotel where there is a parking garage and then get reimbursed!! Unacceptable! With the money you charge for parking, you may want to hire valet service and they can drive to the parking garage! Because of this I will not be staying here again!

The service was friendly and very helpful. Requests for extra bedding and towels were met almost immediately. A complimentary continental breakfast would have added to our stay as we were to be at the hospital by 7am. A $20 breakfast buffet was available but who had time?

Not a good check-in experience. The room i reserved wasn't ready at check-in time. After 15 minutes of the agent being on the phone be finally downgraded me

The staff at this hotel is amazing. Many of the guests are enduring life changing experiences due to the hotel's proximity to the major hospitals in Houston. Everyone makes you feel at home and are very caring. The GM and DOS are amazing and were in the lobby greeting guests when we arrived and made us feel very welcome. The hostess at the restaurant is wonderful. She greeted us every morning and made us feel part of her family. I highly recommend this hotel!
