The Red Feather Inn

We had the most enchanting stay at The Red Feather Inn in the Loft Apartment, nestled in the peaceful countryside just outside Launceston. The charm of this old-world accommodation truly took our breath away. The downstairs bathroom was luxurious, with a lavish bath that made relaxation a dream. Upstairs, the cozy bedroom and adorable dining area added to the charm, and we loved waking up to a delightful continental breakfast. To make the experience even more memorable, we were served a delicious three-course meal by the friendliest chef you could hope to meet. The salmon was cooked to perfection, and the panna cotta was to die for—absolutely a must-try! Every detail was thoughtful and elegant, making it the perfect countryside retreat. My family of five has three teenage daughters and Pearce’s cottage was perfect. Three bedrooms, two lovely bathrooms, a great kitchen, lounge and dining areas. The cottage is very tastefully decorated and well maintained. A great washing machine and dryer were a bonus. It is 10 minutes drive to Launceston, but breakfast supplies, beautiful accommodation and very reasonable rates make it worth the drive.

This inn is remarkably beautiful and excellent value. We stayed before and after the Bay of Fires walk, my friend and I had two separate rooms before, and one of the cottages after. The decor and ambience were quite literally the nicest I have seen in Australia, and I have stayed at some really good hotels. Every tiny detail had been thought through, and bathrooms were stunning, deep baths, hot showers, all very tasteful. Free continental breakfasts were provided, which were ample and coffee pod machines or plungers in every room. The onsite restaurant was nice too. If you are planning to stay anywhere near Launceston, I would absolutely recommend here. It is gorgeous.
