Stayed a couple of nights at the Habarana Village while traveling trough Sri Lanka (as so many others do). We were impressed from the moment we arrived, the hotel - our room, the dining hall and the massive area outside. The hotel was lovely with a grand design and open spaces, our room was big and had a nice bathroom. The outside area was lovely around the whole hotel - you can take a walk down to the lake, soak some sun on one of the and take a swim in a unique pool. When it comes to food the serve a big buffet with everything you need, we really enjoyed both breakfast and dinner. All in all, this was one of the places we wish we had stayed at longer - laying on the sunbeds with cocktails, enjoying the silence, really made our day.

We overnighted at the Habarana village during our tour of Sri Lanka- and that evening we were celebrating a milestone. We were doted on by three staff members: Saranga, Dilshani and Kavinda. And to top it off we were surprised at desert time with a beautiful cake to celebrate- remember we only got there about an hour and a half before. Thank you Habarana Village and Saranga, Dilshani and Kavinda to make this an evening to remember.

Beautiful hotel. We felt really special right from the greeting at check in. Rooms are lovely and very clean. Fantastic view from the pool. Food was lovely and great choice. It is great place to see wild elephants. We enjoyed the entertainment. Would definitely stay here again

I was already at Habrana Village by Cinnamon in May 2023. I chose the hotel because of its location and also because of the positive reviews. This hotel is very suitable for travelers interested in wildlife photography, wildlife watching and culture. My interest was wildlife photography. I took many photos and videos on the hotel grounds. A large number of bird species, squirrels, monkeys and amphibians. Every now and then the area is also visited by flying foxes. Also wonderful trees and many other plants. The hotel is located on a lake, which is not only romantic at sunset, but also promotes different species. The location is very quiet! Nevertheless, you can get to town very quickly. The place offers small shops and restaurants. Also gas stations and banks. Due to the proximity of the jungle and because Habaran is a hotspot for elephants, there are many safaris providers. I myself went on a safari to Wilpattu National Park with Nature Trails. Nature Trails is part of the Cinnamon group and has really well-trained naturalists/ranger. Since I have been working in nature conservation myself for years, I am confident in making an assessment. The safari was absolutely great. The service staff was very professional and incredibly friendly and accommodating. Personally, I felt very comfortable and safe. The management themselves are absolutely great and always try to fulfill wishes. From time to time they asked how I was feeling and whether I had any wishes. The buffet was rich and varied. The meals, salads and desserts were freshly prepared. It's unbelievable what the cooks and the kittchen personal have conjured up. The service staff at the bar were attentive and eager to please the guests. For my part, I don't find anything negative.

Our stay at the hotel was a memorable experience, enhanced by the exceptional service from Saranga and the F&B team. The presence of friendly dogs can indeed add a unique charm to a property, offering a sense of warmth and homeliness. It's wonderful that the hotel has created an environment where both guests and four-legged friends can enjoy the space harmoniously.

Wonderful experience. Food was delicious. From the reception to the every function, service staff was very professional, efficient and humble. Would like to make a note on Sujith and Perera for keeping clean and decorative throughout the stay. You can enjoy a great swim and Svastha spa is a must go place. We got a great treatment and an experience with full of pleasant memories. Keep it up Habarana Village by Cinnamon!

Hotel was clean. Service was good. Food was also good. Wish room was slightly bigger for a triple. Best part was the garden.
