I have stayed in Marriott properties in many countries since the early 1980s. This was my first stay at the Moxy brand of Marriott properties. When we arrived, the driveway was completely roped off and blocked by two huge construction vehicles and the door into the lobby was also roped off. No alternative was provided to allow us to drop off our heavy bags or even to enter the hotel from the car park. Having to register my car or risk a £100 fine just to drop off the luggage was not a customer-friendly message. I am aware this applies to other Marriott airport properties in Scotland to deter non-guests from parking. But I am sure with all the brainpower in the Marriott group, a customer-friendly solution can be found. The towel in my room had holes. Housekeeping staff opened my room door twice. Luckily I was only half naked. Really lousy breakfast. Dried scrambled eggs. No other egg type offered. Dried bacon. Orange juice tasted quite bad. The lobby doubled up as the place for breakfast. As a result, food droppings on the floor were quite unsightly. But I must say the staff were all wonderfully nice, polite and helpful

Excellent location. You can walk to and from both the airport terminal and the rental car depot. I was able to check in an hour early so I could drop my bags first and then return my rental car. As a solo traveller, that made a huge difference. Very friendly helpful staff. The room was comfortable, very clean, and totally soundproofed from air traffic. I'd recommend the Hampton by Hilton as the best choice for an Edinburgh airport stay.

Thủ tục nhận phòng và trả phòng RẤT hiệu quả, chỉ cần nêu tên bạn và họ sẽ n*** lập tức hộ tống bạn đến căn hộ của bạn. Đã thấy các đánh giá trước đó nói rằng lễ tân không thân thiện, nhưng thành thật mà nói, tôi nghĩ họ đang làm việc hiệu quả và đó chính xác là những gì tôi cần sau hành trình kéo dài 20 giờ. Tôi đã đặt căn hộ 1 phòng ngủ mở cho chúng tôi gồm 2 người lớn và 2 trẻ em. Phòng ở tầng trệt với lối vào từ lối đi bên ngoài trực tiếp đến phòng khách. Điều này có nghĩa là những người đi bộ bên ngoài phòng của bạn sẽ có thể nhìn thấy bạn, nhưng có rèm và mành để chặn tầm nhìn đó. Tuy nhiên, phòng ngủ không có cửa, chỉ có lối vào từ hành lang. Căn hộ rất ấm cúng và thoải mái với chúng tôi, chúng tôi đã nấu hầu hết mọi bữa ăn, được trang bị đầy đủ tiện nghi. Căn hộ có bàn ăn thoải mái cho 4 người và cách bố trí hiệu quả. Đã sử dụng dịch vụ giặt ủi và dịch vụ tốt. Sainsbury địa phương gần đó cách 4 phút đi bộ. Nhìn chung hài lòng và đánh giá cao.

Amazing room and amazing service. Lovely hotel must stay. Fast service and friendly staff.

Absolutely amazing. We arrived very late due to heavy snow- they checked us in and organised an extra bed literally within 2 minutes of arriving. The service is efficient and rapid. The gentleman who looked after our room in house keeping was awesome, he helped us settle in and the little touches to make the kids feel special was duly noted. The manager down on the reception desk was excellent. Everything is managed very well, there is no waiting and the service is outstanding. The view at breakfast is amazing! Mountains in the distance covered in snow. Our stay was better than expected. Parking ✅ Swimming pool and sauna ✅ Food ✅ Service ✅ The hotel location is convenient and the restaurant space is open plan and cosy yet very busy. The hotel does need some updated but everything works well. The location is literally next to the zoo and the overflow car park 🅿️ is next to the hotel. The staff here are outstanding. High praise. 1. Location, Location, Location • It’s hard to beat this hotel for central Edinburgh. Right on North Bridge, you’re a stone’s throw from Waverley Station, the Royal Mile, shops, restaurants, and many of the city’s major sights.  • Great for walking everywhere; you don’t need transport for many of the main attractions.  2. Room Size & Basics • Many guests say the rooms are more spacious than you might expect in a city‑centre hotel.  • Clean, with decent bathrooms, functional furniture, and most have good views (though that depends on the side you’re on).  3. Quality of Bed & Sleep Amenities • Beds often get praise for being comfortable (though not universally). TVs, desks, kettles etc. are standard and work well.  4. Restaurant / Lounge / Public Areas • Decent lounge with a good drinks menu, good public areas, attractive décor in common spaces.  • The steakhouse (Marco Pierre White) is a draw for many visitors. 

Ưu điểm: Vị trí tuyệt vời, n*** cạnh trung tâm mua sắm và phố Prince Street, rất thuận tiện. Dịch vụ cũng tốt, nhân viên thân thiện. Họ giao ba chai nước nhỏ mỗi ngày – hai chai không ga và một chai có ga – tất cả đều đựng trong chai thủy tinh với bao bì khá tốt. Họ cũng giao thêm hai chai nước lớn mỗi ba ngày. Nhược điểm: Tôi đặt phòng có ban công, nhưng nó không nằm trong tòa nhà chính. Phòng không lớn lắm, và quan trọng nhất là có cả một bức tường phía sau rèm cửa trước giường không có cửa sổ. Ánh sáng duy nhất chiếu vào qua cửa ban công, khiến phòng khá chật chội. Điều khó chịu nhất là khả năng cách âm kém; tôi có thể nghe thấy người nói chuyện ở phòng bên cạnh, và bất cứ ai đi lại trong hành lang đều có thể nghe thấy mọi thứ rất rõ ràng.

The hotel was lovely, the bed was comfortable, the reception staff was welcoming and amazing! I was thoroughly disappointed at the breakfast selection - the eggs were overcooked and floating in water, it was quite gross. The gentleman taking care of the tables was quite rude. We asked the reception whether we can look at the breakfast before we make a decision to add on, she said sure, we went there and this gentleman working the floor was quite rude saying for how many? I told him I am still deciding as my partner wanted to come in and have breakfast too. It was me and my mom staying in the room, but he was so pushy and rude, he asked for my room number, I gave it to him, he came back saying it's not paid and I said to him I know I am just deciding if I want to add it on -- we were standing away from the food and didn't have plates or anything, we were just texting my partner to get a decision from him. He was so rude and said ”see I told you, this is why I asked, come with me” and he had a very rude attitude. We paid for it at the bar and then went to sit down, but this gentleman was the only rude man in the hotel - quite frankly would not eat at that place again!  He messed the whole experience for us. 

The building was good and the view was great; it was the best part of staying this hotel. Unfortunately room service was so bad. We stayed there 4nights; first we thought maybe they just hovered the room because the room wasn’t cleaned. Next day it was same so I told it to reception and then finally next day they cleaned it.. but again it wasn’t a full cleaning (they didn’t hover or clean the dust; just tidy the room and clean bathroom) So I can say room cleaning service is a disaster. But I also want to add reception stuff were helpful and friendly. Last thing hotel needs a quick make up; especially bathrooms are very old.
