Eagle View Motel & Retreat

We took a little getaway to the driftless area. What a beautiful surprise for us here! So much history and beautiful scenery. Fun and friendly people. We made many stops at all the shops and lookouts and restaurants too.

The view over the Mississippi was fantastic! Kyle the owner met us outside our room when we checked in and was a great guy. He built a fire in the fire pit for us and we had a great time getting to know him.

We were not sure what to expect when we drove up and there was no one to be found and no office for checking in. But a quick phone call and the owner confirmed our registration and gave us a key code for entering our room. He was extremely polite and accommodating. Once we unloaded our luggage, we poured a glass of wine and went outside for the view. We sat in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the river. We enjoyed watching the birds at the many feeders. There was also a fire pit and grill which we did not use. The room was quite comfortable. We enjoyed the little extras like the white noise machine and the many usb ports. The room had the usual amenities as well…coffee, microwave, fridge, hair dryer, etc. Breakfast is not included but we had a nice breakfast in town after watching the sun rise over the Mississippi. I highly recommend a stay at the Eagle View.

My husband and I had a great stay. The caretakers were very accommodating. Motorcycles are welcomed which was a plus. We stayed at the king and queen suites. The room was very clean and very comfortable. The view of the Mississippi River was great from the sky deck. Hope we can make it in the fall for the change in the scenery. Will recommend for sure

It was a great location with views. Flower garden was gorgeous. Clean rooms and the grounds were spectacular.

Our second time staying here, and despite us bringing nightly thunderstorms with us, it is a BEAUTIFUL area. The hotel is very well kept. Definitely a return visit kind of place!!!

This place is amazing if you like beautiful views. We are already planning our next weekend getaway to stay a few days. We got the king suite and it didn't disappoint.
