Stayed one night with my son. Room itself is old and outdated but the outdoor facilities are perfect for my three years old. There are plenty of green space and outdoor playgrounds, I just wish that outdoor pool is open but it would be excited to comeback and use the outdoor pool! Breakfast is amazing !!! Love love love. Definitely come back this summer

We had a wonderful stay at Shangrila Guangzhou. Tina and Ashley at the front desk gave us free red wine after noticing that it was my wife’s birthday. Good job being observant with your guests. Thank you. The room was clean and spacious. The customer service is great. Breakfast has plenty of options. Very delicious. The outdoor pool and the garden is wide. We will be back for sure. It was a great experience.

Thanks to a hotels manager Cyril who went beyond to make sure our stay is memorable. We enjoyed our time mostly because we felt everything hotel could help with they were happy to provide, reception stuff were great as well. Weather was not good, so we couldn’t enjoy outside facilities much, but we loved the indoor pool. Best hotel in Guangzhou, we went to Ritz afterwards and it’s not even close couldn’t be compared. So if you think to prolong your stay or try another hotel, don’t think twice 😂. It’s really the best. We will be back ❤️

My family and I had a great and restful time at the hotel. Attention to detail, and Emma the host at the restaurant made sure my child had a special meal cooked for him. Room service meal was great too. The outdoor pool and kid’s game are also a plus. Excellent family friendly hotel.

We went to the Shangri-La for their beautiful outdoor pool, but it was under renovations. We’ve stayed at this hotel many times, but this is the first time it felt outdated. Our initial room smelled of mold, but we were kindly switched to a better room. Overall, it’s an okay hotel. The outdoor pool is really nice, especially when it is available.

Perfect position to visit the Fairs in the Pazhou complex. The hotel is beautiful, very clean and comfortable. The rooms are big and with very nice views on the city. All restaurants serve delicious food, including the buffet. Very rich breakfast with many sweet and salty choices.

Disappointing stay, cannot pretend to stay as unforgettable memories..... limited amenities in the room, not even a comb...! 100% empty mini bar, swimming pool is absolutely not clean, with many swimmers allowed splitting all around the pool making the place very unsanitary, triggering fungal infection right after the swimm...! in room dining mini program not allowing digital payment.....but just credit cards.... hence the need to stop ordering virtually and then go to the phone to get your order set and when delivered , to be paid upon delivery...., many things were pretty unseamless experience in this hotel, wonder why it can be can under the shangrila brand.... not to the expected standards overalll

Shangri-la hospitality at its finest :- The people make this hotel an oasis of tranquility. The location is wonderful next to the Canton Fair, the Pazhou high speed ferry to Hong Kong Intl Airport and Kowloon and the Guanzhou Riverside Tram to the Canton Tower. Delicious breakfast, amazing views and an enormous garden...

Good located nearby the exhibition center, walking distance in 5minutes. Hotel has a nice outdoor swimming pool and a lot of facilities for the kids.

Great hotel with great amenities, great checkin; however our experience thereafter deteriorated. Once our checkin was completed, we were shown to our room, however our luggage didn’t find its way up. Calling the operator resulted in little to nothing. Calling the reception wasn’t much better either as we were told to wait at least 15-20 mins, despite our already 20 min wait time. Thus I ended going down to grab our luggage myself. The next surprise were the number of towels in the room. We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids, however had only 2 full towels. Again calling the operator resulted in little to nothing, likely also to language difficulties. We have since asked 2 staff members for more towels, without any success. Our solution was to grab 2 additional towels from the pool. We only stayed one night, so no biggie. However later the night, our daughter was freezing due to her developing a fever. Thus we called the operator one more time to ask for another blanket; again due to language difficulties we went down to the reception and asked for one more blanket, just in case. We were told ‘no problem’ and housekeeping would bring one. It never came. Having spent the night with a sick kid, we went for breakfast at 9’ish. Though the hotel put up a sign to inform how likely busy the breakfast will be at certain times, we were still surprised to be encounter a waiting line ranging from the elevator to the breakfast room. I have never seen anything the like in similar properties, however one can see why the hotel enforced rather strict entry control measures. The line was handled swiftly, however caused a waiting time to be seated of around 10-15 mins. Breakfast was great, with heaps of choice of both western and Chinese dishes. However the slight chaos caused by guests notably affected staff, which made it sometimes feel more like a train-station cafe, rather than a 5* property breakfast. Upon leaving, we had however the probably best service-moment of our stay. A concierge called Alvin helped us to sort our Didi-issue to travel to Shenzhen and made us truly feel comfortable, despite dealing with an odd Didi driver and a sick kid. Alvin displayed everything you expect in a 5* property and some more! Thus we left exhausted (not the hotel’s fault), but with a smile.

Good location conveniently connected to metro no 8 route and light tram. Buffet breakfast is worth of price. Indoor swimming pool is nice too !
