Timble Inn

This was our first stay at The Timble Inn but will now become our base when visiting friends in nearby Harrogate. We arrived much later than expected (M1 speed restrictions with not a roadwork in sight) and were greeted with a platter of sandwiches and very welcoming staff. Our room (number 5) was super comfortable, quiet, had a great sized bed and local HK toiletries. We also had homemade cookies as well as a good selection of teas/coffees: the TV remote control was even wrapped in plastic. The room was spotless and the bed was really comfortable. The facilities and breakfast were outstanding, but the whole experience is brought together and delivered by an exceptional team who obviously see hospitality as a profession to be really proud of. Enzo is an outstanding host, not showy or intrusive, but delivering service at absolutely the right 'under the radar but always present' level. Sarah and Jessica (plus others whose names we didn't catch - sorry) were also fabulous. The Timble Inn is in a beautiful setting. Just up the road we were able to spot curlew and red kite and there are a multitude of other birds and rabbits on the doorstep. The two reservoirs just five minutes down the road provide a really tranquil easy walk. And Harrogate is just 25 minutes down the A59. We'd highly recommend going off the beaten track for a stay here. Just please make sure you don't book when we want to come back. :)

Four of us were booked in for dinner. Good table, well laid out. Food was OK. The white onion soup was under seasoned, by a long way. Easily remedied by adding some salt, but never as good as when cooked with sufficient seasoning. I know it can be a personal thing, but all four of us agreed it was under seasoned. The main courses were good though my assiette of Lamb needed a makeover on presentation, all a bit too jumbles up and on top of some pureed potatoes that were swirled on the plate. Two pieces of broccoli on top of that, it all looked somewhat unattractive. Whilst there were a number of side orders available I feel the course needed more vegetables with it, some potatoes for example. Food cost £135.90 plus £98 for drinks, bit steep. Service as ever was really good, with one exception. The mint sauce arrived after the main course was delivered! This annoys me out of all reasonable proportion. I did make the point when we ordered that I wanted the mint sauce before the main course arrived, it wasn’t very late but it was after. Why????

The Timble Inn is a hidden gem. The food was amazing and the room was super. All the staff were excellent and very helpful. We stayed 2 nights and wished we had stayed longer. We will definitely be back soon as it was brilliant. The location is great for days out.

This was our 4th stay at the Timble Inn. We stayed for 2 nights and had an absolutely amazing time. The rooms are beautiful and very luxurious. We ate in the hotel both nights and the food was absolutely fantastic on both evenings. The staff are fabulous and very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was beautiful and the choices fabulous. We had an absolutely amazing stay and will definitely be returning . Thank you for everyone for an incredible stay.

The Timble Inn serves wonderful food and has incredibly comfortable rooms. The staff are very friendly but not all over you, whilst still being very attentive. It is located in some of the most beautiful landscapes in the UK. A really lovely relaxing place to stay for the weekend. We will be back!

Nice location, lovely room - been there twice before and had lovely evening in meals. Sadly on our last visit the ribeye steak was so tough I left 50% of it. I mentioned my disappointment to the staff and sadly there was no offer of a gesture of compensation. The ribeye. Steak on the menu was £34, so it was quite an expensive evening. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of chooses.

We have visited The Timble Inn many times for delicious Sunday roasts and evening meals, this was our second time staying overnight celebrating our Wedding Anniversary and again we had a wonderful stay! As soon as you step through the door into the characterful and cosy bar you are given such a warm and friendly greeting all the staff at The Timble are so lovely nothing is too much trouble, our room was also beautifully appointed with the comfiest of beds, we also had an evening meal in the pretty restaurant which was excellent again with attentive friendly service! Thank you for making our stay so memorable we will definitely be back 🥰

We came here for lunch as my husband wanted to try it. I had goat’s cheese and walnut salad- he had cheese and ham toastie. Both were beautifully presented and delicious by a helpful and efficient lady. The china was good quality, the Ladies clean and pleasant ( I do like a nice ‘Ladies’ it tells you a lot about the place) the pub was sparkly and had a nice feel to it. Looking forward to eating dinner there soon. If lunch is anything to go by, dinner will be, a pleasure.

Stumbled across this Inn by chance on the internet; we regularly do a stop over in Yorkshire and decided to give this a go based on reviews of its food. We booked a DBB deal and it was lovely. Beautiful building in peaceful surroundings. Staff were superb! Everything was for your comfort. Beautiful rooms; and the restaurant and food were worth the visit. Well worth a try for the relaxation and quality
