服務員是位老先生，很和善。餐廳服務也挺好。設施已經陳舊，周邊環境清新優美。

The hotel staff were very warm and friendly. The accommodation and breakfast were very good. One of our party had a medical issue and the Manager could not have been more supportive with advice on how and where to get a doctor's appoin**ent, to a lift to the medical centre and further advice as to chemists. Superb.

My wife and I stayed here last night on the Super Sunday deal. Very nice hotel with good size and very comfortable bedrooms. Big car park, nice bar area and very quiet. All the staff we met were excellent, especially Tracey at the breakfast service. Great character who made our day with her humour. The food, dinner and breakfast are included in the deal, were excellent. The Sunday roast lamb in my case, came with 8 types of vegetable. Breakfast offered an excellent choice too. All in all a lovely part of North Yorkshire especially if you want to use it as a base for exploring our wonderful county. We will definitely return.

We used the three course Meal for Two Voucher we had previously bought . There was a good menu and the food was to a good standard and plentiful , the service was good and the drinks were at fair prices. Plenty of parking on site and a nice area. Good service we would have no hesitation in revisiting .

Been out walking with friends and called back to the Wainstones Hotel for a 3 course meal. We couldn't fault it, loved every course eg garlic mushrooms with ciabatter bread, seabass with duphinois potatoes, sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce and custard. We all had different and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Waitress was lovely who served us she had just started and the bar where we ate was full of character, just what we like after a walk in the moors. Would highly recommend.

This was the worst place I have ever stayed at. Had a 2 night stay over Easter. Greeting at reception not particularly friendly. I refused the first room (9) due to kitchen extractor vents outside window and awful mattress. Room 2 was better. However there were holes in the valance sheets on both beds. Bathroom in need of re-grouting. Needed a good hoovering. Almost cold water for shower on first morning. Breakfast was an experience.. no help yourself buffet .. everything brought to the table, felt as if food was restricted to save money. Waitress very unfriendly. Evening meal I chose fish which was supposed to be served with dauphinoise potatoes it came with what can only be described as a potato cake (much like a fish cake) mixed with a few vegetables and deep fried. The accompanying tenderstem broccoli was raw. Frying everything seemed to be the order of the day. The interior of the main part of the hotel was very dark and dingy and in need of a massive overhaul. Even the appearance from the outside is not very good - I didn't want to check in and even drove off again after initially pulling into the car park! Don't be fooled by the picture on the website. I can recommend the pub a few hundred yards up the road for excellent food and service and a very friendly a**osphere. On the plus side, the village is very nice with 2 more pubs. Stay here at your peril.

Have stayed here many times before and whilst there is new ownership there is a lot to be said, the staff look so sad and miserable and clearly they are not the happy team they was before the take over. The hotel clearly needs updating but the previous owner clearly cared about his staff and their well being and the importance of positive behaviour and communication.

We stayed at The Wainstones for 2 nights on a very reasonable Travelzoo deal. Although the decor was dated, it was clean and we had a lovely, large, warm bedroom. The food was excellent and very reasonable and the choice at breakfast was second to none, especially the Walkers porridge with a shot of Drambuie and loving the waitress with the dry sense of humour, excellent cabaret! We would certainly return to The Wainstones in the not-too-distant future!!
