The Tallulah House is a family home that has been completely renovated. It features a large screened porch, large yard, fully furnished kitchen, central heat and air, covered parking, washer and dryer and beautiful oak floor. It is conveniently located to the town of Robbinsville, a short drive from Lake Santeetlah, the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway and great fishing and hiking.My wife (Sara) and I (Rick) are retired NC Public School employees after 30+ years with Graham County Schools. We have remodeled Sara's parents home over a two year period and are now making it available as a short time rental property. We are active in our community and church and enjoy spending time with family and our four grandchildren. Located on a private road, you can be sure this is one of the most secluded listings you will find. From the front porch you will enjoy listening to the noisy trout stream that meanders around you. Be sure to get your NC fishing license before you come, as Yellow Creek is very well stocked with trout. You can open up the windows in the family room and hear the loud Creek go by. We are also only minutes away from several hatchery supported waters.CELL phone service is currently NOT available at the cabin.(Please no motorcycles. We have a long gravel drive. Cell service is available at the top of the road and various other areas including the intersection of 143 and 28 in the parking lot about 5 minutes away. **While we have internet, it is not considered high speed to enable you to work from the cabin. Cable Cove is 14 minutes away for swimming and boating at Lake Fontana. Fontana Dam and visitor center and The Nantahala Outdoor Center with white water rafting and zip line are approximately 20-25 minutes away. Hurrahs Casino is about a 35-minute drive. Groceries, beer and wine can be purchased at Ingles grocery in Robbinsville approximately 20 minutes away. Alcohol is available for purchase in Bryson City or Murphy.The road to the cabin is single lane and gravel.
