Mekong Home Bến Tre

A paradise for relaxing, far away from the busy cities. The host family is beyond caring and kind and provides great service. I booked the sunset boat tour and was rewarded with a perfect sunset. Also worth mentioning is the delicios food (warning: large portions). The rooms are comfortable and incredibly cozy. Depending on the season and weather, the water from the shower may have a bit of salt, but that didn't bother me and even seemed to be good for the skin. The only small "negative" point: the bungalows are very thinly soundproofed from the adjoining room. You can hear voices and especially the closing of doors quite loudly. I would still come back anytime.

Very nice place. Only a few rooms, very quiet . On the Mekong with a very nice garden of nice coconut trees and local flowers. very nice and simple decoration with a lot of taste. The hospitality is exceptionnal. A lot of activity are proposed. Bicycle lesson of local cuisine. Excellent food and romantic dinner with a lot of sophistication. Lovely table wear, and dishes. For me by far Mekong Home has been tje best place to stay in the South Vietnam!!! I highly recommend .

Beautiful place to stay and very relaxing after Ho Chi Ming City. We stayed for 2 nights but I would happily have stayed another night. On arrival we easily arranged meals and activities and were shown to our lovely room. Whilst there we went on a bike ride around the area- great fun cycling around the small island and getting on and off the ferries. The sunset and day time boat rises were both well worth it. Food was delicious and fresh- we ate there for all our meals though the breakfast was so large that lunch wasn’t really needed!

My north - south 5Hs Viêtnam trip (Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hue, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh) had been a full on, hi-octane, va va vroom experience. So I decided that a side trip to the Mekong Delta slotted in between two short stays at HCM would be a life saver. I watched YouTube videos for intel and decided I did NOT want the tourist version of the Mekong. I wanted something off piste, Crocodile Dundee. I wanted to stay in a base that was raw, exotic and remote “by the still waters”, but with comfort and tiny touches of luxury. I wanted an oasis of such serenity that I would only leave to go on a sampan trip where the guide rows with her feet through a narrow tributary overhung with coconut trees and mango groves. I wanted delicious food, funny friendly hosts and a huge grass-roofed bungalow in a jungle setting. I wanted Mekong Magic……and I found it all at MEKONG HOME! Good instincts and careful research made Ben Tre my target destination for three nights without any tours save for my idyllic bespoke sampan trip which was arranged for me by Mekong Home together with a short sunset cruise along a broad stretch of the Mekong proper, embarking directly from Mekong Home which sits right on the river! The organisation of transfers from and back to HCM had worried me as Ben Tre is remote but Mekong Home arranged it all for me door to door and it was well worth the uplift. The manager and staff were gorgeous. I got an opportunity to polish up my French. The food was fabulous and the manager was so lovely he made sure I got my favourite dishes! I loved my villa, I believe one of only ten, with a terrace that looked out onto a teeny weeny, picturesque tributary of the ubiquitous Mekong River. I suppose you could use Mekong Home as a base from which to do lots of invigorating and exciting tours, but once ensconced with a cocktail in hand, by one of the most stunning petite pools you could imagine, with luxuriant overhanging palm trees, exquisite birdsong and turquoise butterflies, I did not want to leave Home!

This is a real little gem off the beaten path, the staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The food is a definite highlight! The room was clean great and the beds super comfortable; even the additional bed for our youngest son.

It's already been 3 weeks since our return to Europe and we still dream about this place. A hidden gem in the Mekong Delta! It looks even better than the pictures on the Internet! Fantastic level of design, outstanding warm attention from Khoa and his lovely family, great prices for an again outstanding and delicious food - rich and diverse meals prepared with care by the team. Mekong Home was out last stop on our journey of multiple weeks and we loved it, definitely coming back, and recommending it. The quality of the tours, the detail and care, and the authenticity of the bike rides in the surrounding areas. Beautiful life

A wonderful place, cozy, green, inviting. It is quite difficult to find and food is extremely overpriced. 2 to 3 times as in the big cities such as Hanoi and Saigon. Unfortunately there are no alternatives around the place. Besides that everything is of highest quality: friendly service and a very clean place. I recommend it for a short stay as the area is just amazing.

We were a 8 friend's group traveling through Vietnam and Philippines, this hotel has been THE BEST we stayed in our 3 weeks trip. Also the best food, we ate everywhere in Vietnam, and here alongside Morning Glory in Hoi An were the best we had. They showed us how to make a vietnamese omelette and we cooked our own. The rooms are just perfect, very new, the pool is just incredible for relax, and eating just in the Mekong riverbed was the best experience we had. Also just arriving, the manager organized our days plans in just 3 minutes, we came and everything was done. It gave us security, relax and peace of mind with the sounds of nature just when we were tired of the noise from the cities. They let us stay in the hotel the day of the checkout until the driver came at noon, and even gave us a spare room to rest and take a shower after the pool. If you're going to Mekong, stay here, you won't regret it, trust me.
