This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in my life. Outdated facilities and poor hygiene. Totally unacceptable is the attitude and service level of the front desk staff! that's terrible!

Did have the amenities it offered and I felt a lil over charged and understood I was sure it had a pool and other luxuries that I looked forward to and the reason why I rented there. Then they keep the deposit for a couple weeks and I think that is very unfair and there were not understanding on attempting to figure out a solution to the problem. I don’t think I’d stay there again. There were people living on the parking lot, that was very low budget surrounding you wouldn’t think was around for the area, as the area came very recommended by many people.

Only thing that wasn't to my liking was there was only entrance They wanted yew to enter through instead b4 they use to have a variety of entrances accessible to the hotel it was a hassle moving my belongings from the father side of the hotel nd my room was on the 3rd floor. Nd no baggage dolly that they use to have b4 that wasn't Available either
It is a good property and needs more renovation and staff to control the property for entering, smoking in the hallways and elevators.

The University hotel is an older hotel that seen it's day. It's a large hotel, split between 3 or 4 buildings. The grounds are run down, large metal gates surrounding the hotel grounds, but one can see it was once quite a grand place. There are signs reading that the hotel is enforced by Fresno PD. It feels like it may provide local housing assistance as well as lodging.
That said, our stay was comfortable. Our room was very large, with older, somewhat rundown furniture. The bathroom was large and clean. The room itself, though dated, was clean.
There was some family noise from nearby rooms, not fighting but families with kids, talking, some laughing, but kinda loud. Not a hotel problem, but indictive of the clientele - families and folks needing a decent low-cost stay, be it short or extended.
Overall, a decent stay if you need a low cost hotel in Fresno. Its a 2 star place, can feel a little sketch, but for our needs (in at night, out in the morning) it was fine. If you need a few days for a stay, I'd look elsewhere.

When I arrived, the check in process was really smooth. The room has lots of potential. The area is is very appealing. But the hotel has aged and needs maintaining and could be a gem. I booked this place due to an emergency and it did the job. I got test and was quite. Had micro, fridge, and coffee maker. The check out was a quick. It be nice if it gets a make over.

No clock or phone in room. It was cheaper than other hotels and close to save mart center venue. Noisy. Old. Needs a face lift. The pictures on the website are misleading.

This hotel looks like it has rich history but it’s better days are long gone. The rooms are very large. The sheets are clean and the bathroom was the best feature, with lots of hot water in a wonderful shower. However, the room was dirty with marginal cleaning, dirt and dust everywhere. The receptionist was dry and unfriendly. Why do I see that so often from young adults nowadays?
